12 days vape free, chaotic past 2 days

Hello! I’m here for the first time. Stopped vaping on 11/29/24 and my reason are my 3 kids aged 7,14 and 17. My husband passed away 5 years ago and I’ve been scared of dying and leaving my 3 kids orphaned. I have a history of addiction ( heroin and pain pills ) but have been cleaned for a very long time. Started smoking cigarettes at 15 and switched to vaping approx 7 years ago. I was a 24/7 on my vape , it went everywhere with me, smoked in car, airplanes, bed etc. way more than I ever smoked cigarettes. I’m using the Patch and did hypnosis. The worst was day 10 and day 11. I cried all day, very depressed and couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. Signed up for NAD IV infusion yesterday and did my first session. Feeling so much better today!! I’m finally feeling like my self today and not suffering like this past week. Unbelievable how the brain tricks us!!! I’m hopeful today but wanted to hear other stories, found this page and decided to share my story. My family is super proud of me!!

There’s a dedicated thread to quitting vaping and smoking here, maybe have a look and read there if you’d like. Glad to have you aboard, and wishing you all success with your addiction free life journey. :people_hugging:

Welcome to the community Joana!
Wow!!! Impressive that you have overcome so many addictions and are now 12 days vape free :pray:t4: :clap:t4::clap:t4:

So sorry for your loss. I’m certain you and your family will be grateful for a healthier you. Glad you found us. This is a wonderful supportive community to be a part of. The community is filled with fellow addicts who understand the struggle and look out for each other.

Take some time to read around and jump in when you feel ready. My two favorite threads are Checking in daily to maintain focus #72 to stay accountable and connect with the members and Daily Gratitude, The Air Of Recovery #8 :lotus: as practicing gratefulness helps train our mind to think positively.

Hope to see you around :hugs:.
