In no particular order:

  • Not having to deal with a hangover and withdrawals every day until I could get drunk again.
  • Be able to drive where I want and when and not being restricted because I had been drinking.
  • Not having to worry about what I said or did while drinking.
  • Being able to make plans and move towards my dream of opening my own school.

I feel you on the mental state…still extremely tough for me too. I keep trying to tell myself that my anxiety is 20x worse when I’m hungover and then if I know I did things I wouldn’t normally when drunk then it’s more like 100x

For a while I thought the drinking would help my anxiety. It just makes it a lot worse. Stay strong.

I’m having relationship issues, work issues, home issues, health issues, money issues but I’m not drinking because I don’t want even MORE issues

We can help you not drink, but please refrain from talking about actively still using. Also when you are ready for complete abstinence let us know bc that’s what we can really help with.

Good luck, you’re going to need it.
