I feel you on the mental state…still extremely tough for me too. I keep trying to tell myself that my anxiety is 20x worse when I’m hungover and then if I know I did things I wouldn’t normally when drunk then it’s more like 100x

For a while I thought the drinking would help my anxiety. It just makes it a lot worse. Stay strong.

I’m having relationship issues, work issues, home issues, health issues, money issues but I’m not drinking because I don’t want even MORE issues

We can help you not drink, but please refrain from talking about actively still using. Also when you are ready for complete abstinence let us know bc that’s what we can really help with.

Good luck, you’re going to need it.

  1. Alcohol numbs me, and makes me lose my sense of wonder.
  2. Sooo much wasted time on blackouts and hangovers.
  3. Getting drunk ruins any hope of stability in my mental health.
  4. I’m done with feeling physically sick at work all the time.
  5. Alcohol makes me overly content and lose focus on progressing goals I want in my future. (i.e. arrested development)

Edit: I had forgotten I previously posted on this topic before, but I’m going to keep both here, because obviously certain points continue to be just as important to me.
