Thanks Chris
I did a decent job on my test. I followed all formulas, but ended up having many answers that were more or less impossible… And the test was really poor quality. There was an entire question missing and a couple important details missing, so if I get a non passing grade, not my fault.
I am struggling to put down my phone. I am doing useful stuff, but also in a way looking for useful stuff to keep my phone in my hands.
My steps to overcome this:
- Talking about it. Becoming mindful of it.
- Thinking of useful irl actions.
- Doing non technology related stuff. Take a shower, shave and clean my room
- Being happy with myself
That’s cool, taking action always helps.
I did not clean my room, I am going to do homework instead. I am happy with myself
Even when I hate cleaning, I loved it and always did it before and during exams. Our coloc was never so tidy as in these weeks
Good luck with your school planning and all, Hope you get to whatever school and major you want, man!. Btw I almost understand nothing from the Dutch educational system. Anyways, Shout-out to you from the south!
1 day without obsessive screen usage.
Good morning everyone. Yesterday I finally got me a new sponsor. Great guy, he already gave me homework, so that’s promising.
Today has been good so far. I am going to give a presentation for english in 45 minutes, which I am prepared for. Then I’m going to try to start and finish an assignment for physics. I am feeling okay, but I am biting my nails a lot today, so maybe not so good.
My presentation didn’t go very well, but my teacher said I did excellently and I got a great grade. I want to practice speaking with a british accent more as I have lost mine completely from talking with a dutch accent on all the zoom meetings…
You better start using your British accent!! On the zooms as well, young fella!!
I just had the best power nap ever. I sat down on a bench near water and was on the edge of sleeping the entire time without actually falling asleep. Good stuff. Now I’m going home.
I really fucked up my store. I dropped 2 bottles of Ketjap. We have a scrubber. A machine that scrubs the floor. Apparently it was broken, because it spreat the ketjap through the entire fucking store. Customers jumping around to avoid stepping in ketjap. Really funny. I ended up scrubbing a big part of the store by hand lol
2 days without obsessive screen usage.
I’ve been stressing all day because I have a test tomorrow that I underestimated. So stressed, it makes me unable to focus. I’ve tried sitting on my recently discovered bench. It helped me relax… until I entered the classroom… I also tried using earflaps, but I almost fell asleep because of the silence.
So I decided to calculate what grade I needed to make sure that my average grade would stay sufficient. An F/0%/1 will be sufficient, so I’m just studying for a bonus right now. Now I am able to study just fine
I spent 5 hours stressing and 1 hour studying. I discovered that a lot of the later paragraphs cover mostly theory I studied 2 weeks ago
My focusbox arrived
I put my brother’s speaker in it…
3 days without obsessive screen usage.
I just took my mathematics test. It didn’t go the way it usually does. I was given the answers too by accident. When I discovered that, I told my teacher. I then had to wait 15 minutes for her to give me a copy without answers until I could resume. I did well on some of the subjects and failed miserably on others, all in all, I think it will be a sufficient grade.
Congratulations on your hard work! Do you still have tests coming?
I might do another computer studies test today. Tuesday I’ll try to make one or two science tests. Wednesday I’ll have an English test and a science test. Thursday will be a physics test. Then I’ll have around 3 tests remaining for the next week. Then eventually exams
What’s the difference between tests and exams for you??
Exams are about everything you’ve learned during your time at school, they’re the final tests. Whilst common tests are just about what you’ve learned in the last few weeks.
