At 245. Not easy but in order to get and stay in shape there has to be as much commitment to exercise as there was commitment to chasing our last drug or drink. As alcoholics and addicts we like the easy way out so when exercise starts getting tough we stop because our regular behavior is to look for simplicity. Push through folks and you’ll get results! Just like your program! Push!! And get good results in sobriety!! I was 245 now I am 210. I workout like I do my program. 110 percent!!

I’m on a fitness and weight loss journey. My illness stopped my fitness a few years ago and never got back into it. I’ve only just started, joined a club (I need motivation). I’m trying to give up refined foods, cake, biscuits, bread and sugar and alcohol. Taking it slowly so not to cause injury :grinning:

Hey bluebell, yeah definitely take it easy i started on a advanced body workout and I last 3 minutes so looked for a beginner body workout it was still hard but I got thru it, so I do 25 minutes of yoga to warm up then I do 10 minutes if full body workout I also get 10,000 steps in aday I’m gonna just keep doing this until my body starts to get use to it and then move up a notch but I’m not going to rush it ,I struggle phically so I know its helping,I’ve also woke up today stiff and sore but I’m going to push thru:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: I’m weighing in on a Sunday if you would like to join in.:muscle::muscle::muscle::muscle::muscle:

Yes, definitely, help me to stay focus. I’m doing a charity fitness challenge next month so there can’t be any excuses for not moving. I am putting my overweight bmi score towards my exaggerated muscle mass :rofl::rofl:

I posted this on a different thread yesterday. I don’t know if anyone saw it cuz I didn’t get any likes or comments. Which is really no big deal. I just thought I’d share it again here. Forgive me if you’ve already seen it. Just wanting to help. And who doesn’t want more sleep.

Get a free nutrition app and find out your total TDEE number. This has helped me drop 20 lbs and still enjoy food. Try bike riding it’s FUN!!

I made my goal weight awhile ago this year. Lost 45 pounds. I feel the biggest thing for me was logging calories every time I ate. Everything I ate. Even the fries off of wifeys plate. I got an app on my phone and I’m still logging away. Keeps you accountable and you can learn a lot about the amount of calories in the stuff you eat regularly. Like I love mayonnaise on my sandwiches and there’s more calories in the mayo I put on my sandwich than the ham or roast beef.
Good luck y’all.

I’ll join you! Today was my first day on fitness app. Hunted out my Fitbit and made myself do 10k steps. I now have a blister and am ready to sleep but feeling very proud of myself. I’m swapping work-stress wine for exercise.

I may even be in lycra this time next year :flushed:
