Alcohol and cannabis

New here, glad I found this app. not really sure where to start but been clean of weed for 24 days and alcohol 5 days (6 today if I stay clean) i feel stuck between 2 walls, it’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen my son (1 year old) at the end of January under supervised contact. Local authority always keep bringing up the fact what if I relapse, and I do feel like I’m going too, no matter what I do it’s never good enough, I lost all my friends and most of my family.

Welcome Daniel. Sorry to hear about your situation but it is possible to make changes. It takes time and it takes help and real patience, honesty, trustworthiness, and accountability. There’s a good list of groups here that can help with that Resources for our recovery

Hi @Dstin welcome! I’m proud of you for making it this far. It sounds like times are hard right now and that you’re really isolated- I’d recommend checking out those resources @Matt posted, find some ways to stay active and in touch here and to engage with your sobriety. I hope youre coping okay. We all know what a difficult time this can be, early on. It gets easier.

One day at a time Daniel! Great job for reaching out for help. None of us can do it alone. Im new in sobriety too, and the thought if never drinking again is too much for me. But i can tell myself im not going to drink today, for the next hour, or even just the next 5 minutes. Remind yourself what will happen if you pick up. What will happen that night, the next day, the next week? Nothing good. Check in here, go to a zoom meeting, take a walk/shower/nap, eat a snack, anything but using! We are rooting for you!!

Welcome @Dstin glad you found us here . First off congratulations on 24 days cannabis free and 5 days without alcohol :clap::clap:. Those really early days 100% sober are super tough . Be proud of yourself! You can make this happen if you want it but you need to work for it. There are lots of great supportive people here and lots of info from experience as well resources as Matt shared there for you. This community has helped me every step of the way of my 45 days sober . I highly recommend reading around and joining in the threads wherever you are comfortable. I look forwards to seeing you around here on your journey and remember you can do it One Day At A Time
