Meetings meetings meetings

Go to three meetings a day if you need to. There is one, simple rule: you can do anything that’s safe and legal to maintain your sobriety. You can:
- go to multiple meetings; meeting crawl
- cancel normal plans
- take 45 minute showers (don’t knock it till you’ve tried it)
- bake 120 chocolate chip cookies
- discover what various fruits in your house make Perrier taste like
- etc
The meetings are not only something to do; they’re also a path to unpacking, understanding, and processing whatever has kept you running away from life. There are reasons for why you’ve been running. There is pain; there is fear. The fear will rule you until you face it. It lurks in that voice on our shoulders that says, “C’mon…” (We’ve all got that voice.)
This is the place where you stand your ground. You will live today sober. Tomorrow is tomorrow - don’t you worry about that. Today is all you have - and your head hits the pillow, sober.
You’re a good person and you deserve a safe, sober life where you can be your full self.
