It hasn’t stopped raining here in Bris for at least 30 hours. Heavy overnight and just constant all day. Water is seeping under a sliding glass doorway downstairs (even though it’s sandbagged) and has soaked the carpet. Still, at least we’re not underwater like some folks.
My parents decided it’s be a good weekend to visit from down south lol. They’re all drinking which is fair enough tbh

Flooding here too on the Northern Rivers…non stop rain! Waterfall exploring look out but feeling for those who have a massive clean up.

Constant, shitful rain here.
I think we’re trapped by a flooded creek at the bottom of our road, and it’s likely washed out the newly graded road too.
We’ll be ok as we’re up on a hill so the water has plenty of places to run other than inside. However, the ground is just fucking soaked from months of rain.
Another 24 hours of rain to go at least.
Pretty over it.
But I’m eating a second slice of homemade coconut lime cake made with our own limes, so I’ve got that going for me.

cannot believe the deluge we’ve all had, just insane. Finally seems to be easing now but expecting very high tides with the rivers tonight and tomorrow…
Yeah I have friends in bris and toowoomba who’s ground level of their homes have water coming in, roads cut off. Friends parents in Gympie had to evacuate… It’s just hectic.
Edited to update that it isn’t easing and the rain is back, stronger than ever
