Any aussies in the house?

I spoke to soon, seems more rain is about to fall :umbrella: this summer has been the worst! I feel robbed of hot, sunny, GC beach days!

1000 days sober becsta thatā€™s awesome congrats.

28 days sober. A record in my life. Not craving beer but the black dog has come to visit and Iā€™m feeling terribly me atm.:confounded:. Any way that too will pass.

My kids are super proud they even presented me with a home made one month sobriety chip last night at dinner.

Hoping all those in flood areas are OK. It seems it has forgotten how to rain here at Bathurst.

Planning a big :bike: ride tomorrow. Hoping for 150+km. I am training for a 180km ride end of April. Iā€™ll let you know how I go.

Thank you @Becsta for asking. My head feels a lot better but my right side is very bruised and sore. But Iā€™ll be right, not working at the moment so eating well and trying to relax when I can. :heart:šŸ›¼

Thanks Amalia and @emc2018 it was an exciting milestone  but I was also feeling alittle anxious/apprehensive leading up to it so Iā€™m feeling abit more relaxed again now! Funny how milestones can have those effects on youā€¦ I had bought myself new kicks to celebrate but it has rained every single day since last Wednesday :woman_facepalming: so I havenā€™t even been able to wear them outside yet  first world problems I know :sweat_smile:
Glad youā€™re ok @Mali , Iā€™m betting youā€™ll be back out there skating as soon as youā€™re able!

(Iā€™m just a tad bit in love with them lol )

Speaking of rain. So glad to be facing seqā€™s and northern nswā€™s floods sober. Much better than drinking wine and watching the drama unfold on TV. Iā€™ve thankfully bypassed the worst of it on the northern Gold Coast. Just lost a few days work and been able to do some other work.

Has anyone here been badly affected?

Iā€™m northern gc also and it feels like weā€™re some island with all the chaos happening around us doesnā€™t it??? Really bizarre feelingā€¦ So we have been ok, but have friends and family in Brisbane, Murwillumbah, Tweed, Kyogle, Graftonā€¦ they havenā€™t been so luckyā€¦

All schools in SEQ are closed tomorrow as severe weather is expected. Kinda weird as we have had zero flooding around us/our area so donā€™t quite understand why we will be closingā€¦ Iā€™m hoping the weather forecast is wrong though because north and south of us def donā€™t need any more rain

Yes. Very sad. So sad. I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose everything and the loss of life is so tragic. How scary to be trying to break through your roof to avoid drowning. So much destruction.

My daughters school completely ruined. The height of the flood came 2/3 to the top of the second story. We lost everything!

I helped at the evac centre and the amount of people coming in drenched, shivering, telling me stories of being stuck on roofs, breaking windows to escape. Drowning animals, it was horrible.
The community Love has been amazing though!
