I’ve bought 2 lots of about 60 books from Ebay full of garbage Sci-Fi and Fantasy books.
It’s been relatively entertaining.

This one is about Dwarves who live under Canada in the late 1800s. Who, apparently, ride people like horses and are plotting to take over the world.

The synopsis on this is interesting. Did you like it?

I’ve been a huge fan of Richard Powers since I read Galatea 2.2 in the 1990s. So many of his books are amazing! A few could be dense and difficult to get into but this one has been accessible and grabbed me right from the start. I’ve still a ways to go, but I’ve loving it so far.

Yep, I enjoyed it! Dark and violent, and flawlessly written. I recommend it if you like his other stories.

It’s an oldie but goodie, and the basis for the Hellraiser films.

Daughter has a paper due next week on Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of The Ring. She started asking me very detailed questions on how the book and movie differed. I told her that since I was 12 when I read it, I’m a bit fuzzy on the finer details. So now guess what I am reading?
