Soft City by Pushwagner. Cool distopian graphic novel. Very short, takes 15 mins to read but very thought provoking. Interesting art style too.

Just started this and I really like it. I think it’s going to be a winner. I’m going through a graphic novel phase for sure.

While I was finishing up " Broken Open" by Elizabeth Lesser I decided to order some books so they would arrive in lots of time.

I spoiled myself…

I have finished this one and it will be a book I read time and again I just know it.

I have started “The Alchemist” and looking forward to the rest in this box set.

And I just loved the way Elizabeth Lesser approached spirituality so decided to grab “The Seekers Guide”

Lots to dive into.

Anyone else like to read? I picked it up a couple years ago and I find it to be a tremendous help with my anxiety, especially before bed. Now that I’m getting sober I’ve been trying to pick up a book when I’m thinking about wanting to drink so my mind has a healthy distraction.

I mostly like to read mysteries, with the occasional cheesy romance thrown in. Currently I’m reading “Silent Night, Deadly Night” by Vicki Delany. It’s the 4th in a series about a town in NY that basically celebrates Christmas all year long and people get murdered in suspicious circumstances. Lol Definitely a little corny, like a lifetime movie, but I like them.

Let me know what you like to read!

This engrossing true story was published in English in the early 1970s and I devoured it as a teenager. It definitely made a lasting impression!! Also, the original film with Dustin Hoffman and Steve McQueen is equally as fabulous…or was to me back in the 70s. I have read the book at least twice, I may have to pick up an old copy to read again. Thank you so much for sharing.

Enjoy!!!

Wow!! I devoured this book today. I had to take some breaks when she was deep in her addiction as it is so raw and intense and hits home 100%. She is a gifted writer. Beautiful work.
