Loved it! I saw the movie and realized it’s a classic among American literature and at my age I’d still never read it. Fascinating story behind it as well.
I actually found it at Costco the first time and kicked myself for not buying it. Then I had to find where I could get it and they still have it on Target.com! It took awhile to get to me but so worth it! The way it’s all written even the biography of who Fitzgerald was and how he became the writer he thrived at being is even written so beautifully! I encourage you to try and find it you can have your very own!
I really liked this book
I’m only about 25 pages in but I really like it and can relate a lot. It’s definitely really interesting. I struggle with paying attention and really haven’t read a Book since high school… I told my friend I needed a book that will make me forget about everything and she told me to get this so …I walked to Barnes & Noble
This is a really good book for escaping but it also makes you think about your own life and the choices you’ve made. Well, at least it did for me. I’ve actually been wanting to reread it. I also found it very relatable
I work in education and I swear every kid is reading these right now must be good
It is actually very well written. I’m on book one he is on book three so I have some catching up to do.
Almost finished with “The Book of Longings”.
It’s not what I expected but it’s an enjoyable read.
I used to go through multiple books a week. I’m excited to start reading alot again. I have way too many books. I won’t let myself buy anymore until I make a bigger dent in my TBR pile (or until I buy another bookshelf…haha)
Wow, thanks Jessica! I will definitely try get a copy, sounds amazing
I really want to get back to reading something else besides self help books. I love biographies and some autobiographies. I’m fascinated with Michael Jackson. Any one have a recommendation on a biography about him? There’s so many to choose from.
We are the luckiest is great. Laura McCowen started a fantastic online sobriety community that has been integral in my recovery journey. Check out The Luckiest Club if you are interested.
My 10 yo daughter recently got into these books and is loving them, I’ll have to check them out.
I enjoy memoirs and bios. I like audiobooks for when I’m walking/cleaning depending on who is narrating (some I would much rather read myself). Bob Odenkirk does a pretty good job, I love his voice. If you’re a fan of his or interested in comedy writing, check this out!
I’m not an avid reader but when I pick up a book a breeze through it. I’m on a series of the grey whale inn mystery- murder on the rocks
Thank you, I will!
