I loved Wild.
Just finished The House in the Cerulean Sea.
I think @TrustyBird might have recommended it to me at some point. It’s very cute and uplifting. Very recommended.
I extended my summer holiday to Cornwall with this charming whodunit. It’s the first book of a series, and I can see myself reading the others one day, when my stack of tbr books allows it. I liked the characters and the setting. Easy reading with some jokes put in and a little flirting going on. Old school miss-marple-style murder solving.
Just finished this. A very quick read and quite enjoyable. It’s about ghosting, as per the title Ghosts. But more than that really. I’m ready to dive back into some heavier fiction and some crime novels after my brief hiatus into lightness.
That’s book #4. Book #5 comes out this December.
Secrets of the sideshow, details and so forth about circus’s, carnivals and freakshows. Away from book rn, will post author & pic in update
Oops sorry! I’m halfway done. Stormlight archive is a masterclass in world building

Some poetry… Various writers.
I just started reading the NA basic text. I need to go to the library to find something else to read. I read a lot of horror, dystopian, and adventure books. In particular I like James Rollins and Andy McDermott books.
I love physical books too. I’m currently reading Mediatations by Marcus Auerelius, The Enchanted Places by Christopher Milne and Big Sur by Jack Kerouac.
I also keep a book on e-book nearby and that is currently Judy Blume’s In The Unlikely Event.
Plus right now I have an audiobook of Co-Dependent No More by Melody Beattie on my phone. I can tell how scattered or steady I feel by how many I’m reading and how long it takes me. Its a scattered time over here. ![]()
Reading is cool!
I don‘t remember a time in my life when I was not obsessed with books, stories and reading.
Currently reading:
- It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth, by Zoe Thorogood
- The Book of Form and Emptiness, by Ruth Ozeki
I am currently reading…
☆ The Conscious Caregiver by Linda Abbit
☆ The Thoughtful Caregiver by Rebecca James Hecking
☆ The Society of Shame by Jane Roper
I am currently reading Friends, lovers and the big terrible thing by Matthew Perry.
@Raspberry that was a good book. Sad he is no longer with us. Addiction claimed another soul all too soon
Yes it’s sad he is gone. Feels a little weird to read the book knowing how it ended.
I’m currently reading (for pleasure) The Survivors by Caroline Mitchell, before I delve into some Barbara Kingsolver perhaps, or S.A. Crosby; epic American Southern Noir.
I’m working on all these books as well for my mental health and acuity:
Atomic habits is on my to read list. So far I’ve only found it as audiobook and those aren’t really my thing.
It’s pretty good! ![]()
