Any Avid Readers Here? What are you currently reading?

I’m listening to 1984 by George Orwell and reading some crime fiction at the moment as my recent reads were charged AF.

Believe it or not, I’ve never read 1984, but it’s really good and laughingly accurate in some ways. Double plus good

Almost done 2 days after starting. Has anyone read this one? What else do those people like?

I have and I liked it. My favorite Matt Haig was Reasons to Stay Alive. A beautiful book if you have ever been depressed.
This book kind of gave me The Night Circus vibes by Erin Morgenstern. Different settings and ideas but the same feel to me and both worth a read.

Have you read Piranesi by Susanna Clarke? Similar vibes again. Less mental health focus but quite psychological

Not yet but I will add it to my ever growing TBR list. Thanks!

Piranesi is one of my absolute fav reads💯

It’s so good! What’s another, if you don’t mind me asking?

Oh I need to read that again. It really is a great book and scary on its accuracy. Hope you enjoy

Very light and enjoyable and relatable.
Sweet, funny and quintessentially British.

Nice as a palate cleanser for heavier tombs.

This was really very good. New found author to me in a favourite genre. I shall be continuing my reading of Mr Eskens!! Emotionally deep and refreshing.

I have forced myself to read some fiction after 5 years of heavy spirutal “study”. I started with Sarah J. Maas, The Court of Thones and Roses series. Currently on book three, have a hard time putting them down. A nice easy read with some action, and some of the other kind of action too.
