I am it has definetly been in the wars, its constantly on the look out, I think its been in serious fights with other birds. When it comes inside properly I think I might keep it inside for a few days to let it rest and heal and get some proper food in its belly. Poor baby.
And maybe after a while it will just set up with just staying with you all the time.
This is interesting… The full moon in Melbourne tonight went full at the same time baby flew up to me…
now that is some woo woo magicBaby came to you when she/he really needed it. Hope he/she’ll accept some fostermotherly love.
I can’t wait till it gets a bit older so il be able to have a better idea if its a he or a she lol
I woke up to your post about baby coming home. I’m so excited! What a great start to my day.
The universe works in mysterious ways. Bringing Baby back during a full moon means you were meant to be together.
How cool was that though , the full moon was at full at 7.17pm my time and baby arrived at 7.14pm when I looked at the time on my phone… It reminded me to put my crystals out to charge then I sat and did a manifesting meditation to heal baby so its tail feathers grow back and it gets healthy again. I will meditate on it for the next little while because baby didn’t look the best. Baby birdie wars
Return of the baby - day 2 still fearful and full of trauma. Its going to take a while to rehabilitate baby. I let baby go for the night. It came back at exactly the same time as it did last night, I will let it gain its confidence back with return each day more on its own till its not feeling spooked out. I will see if I can find a vet that will help out and give baby a check up because its illegal to have mynas here as pets, I’m worried they will put it down or not give it back to me if I take it to a vet. I will do my research. Baby definetly needs to see a vet. Its lost a lot of weight and feathers and has a big bald patch on its neck. I feel so guilty for leaving for two weeks. Its my fault its not well. Its been in fights and the fear in its face is heart breaking.
Ohhh no, poor baby!
I’m glad they found their way back inside…maybe now they can relax, recover, and rejuvenate in his safe place!
April, you are so sweet , but it’s not your fault you left and something happened to Baby. The world is fraught with perils and sometimes it’s our encounters with trauma that mold us into who we are. Baby may have had to learn a lesson from the school of Hard Knocks, but unlike OTHER baby mynas out there, this Baby has you to help dust him/her off
He’s lucky to have you; is he eating when you offer it food? Maybe two weeks seemed longer to him but he knows you’re back now.

I don’t know if this would be helpful, but I saw it and I thought of Baby.
April, it’s not your fault at all. Don’t take on that guilt. You went away to work on yourself and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. We have to be at our best in order to take care of the ones we love and that includes Baby.
That was a fantastic article, thank you very helpful
Hopefully Baby gets better ! Cute little guy, just exploring the big world that’s out there
Day 3-
Baby turned up at about 4.30pm and was limping and can’t walk on its left foot. I’ve closed the window and I will keep it inside so it can rest. I will take it to a vet tomorrow. Baby is very tired and can’t keep its eyes open…
Oh no! Poor Baby.
It wants me to help it with its leg because its not scared of me trying to get the string off its leg. Its claw is swollen. It just jumped onto my arm to go to sleep on me. I called a vet to ask what to do and I called our state wildlife rescue number and I’ve been told that because of the breed of myna that it is, there is no help and release/return law here because the breed is classified as a menace breed to our other wildlife, mynas are known here for destroying other wildlife habitats etc. So the nice man on the help line said that if I can call around as many vets as I can and ask them if they can me undisclosed and off the books so to speak , because there legally not allowed to… So tomorrow morning Im just going to go into all the local vets and ask for help and I’m praying I will come across a good hearted human that will humbly and graciously help baby. Our wildlife laws here are tight so I hope I find a vet that over looks this and genuinely wants to help an injured bird… Everyone pray that baby can get the help to fix its Injury
He is eating and drinking as normal thank gosh. Ive given it lots of watermelon because it help rehydration and some banana. Some whole grain bread coz it fills its tummy. Bread isn’t ideal for birds but its OK for a little treat to fill its belly while it regains more energy for it leg to heal.
