You’re gonna have to stop looking for a new job and just give in to what you really want to do, go start a bird shop
You could be onto something there hmmmm to be honest, bird shops don’t really exsist where I live. Pet stores are illegal. I think there just purchased from actual breeders.
But that would be fun! A bird store! But it would break my heart seeing them in cages. I couldn’t do that to them
I saw this article in the past few days and thought of you and your sweet friends… you take amazing pics of them! @apes2020
Owwww thank you Alisa il have a read now.
I dare you to walk into an AA meeting and introduce him.
Time for a bird sanctuary! You can be outside and roam with them
They seem very inquisitive. Lovely birds.
Taking last orders before the cafe shuts for the day 4.15pm.
I got three separate visits today. I think there must be some new good reviews on yelp about the bread cafe because business is booming
@Alisa I just finished the article. A great read! How fasinating that they have been around that long. I love reading the new Yorker. I haven’t read any articles from it in a long time, so thank you, that was enjoyable
10am… We were extra friendly and affectionate this morning. I was aloud a few pat’s without being nipped at! One of them, the one that’s sticking its head in the window playing, when it landed it came running straight across the window right up to my face all excited to see me… It was so playful and affectionate!!
6 turned up today
Do you think this is this year’s family… like the mumma and her babies? I wonder how long they stay together…do they become a flock?
Word about the bread cafe is spreading fast.
I love that one sticking it’s head in sideways. Cracking me up.
Apparently they all have partners for life. Once they find a partner, they stay together for life…I’ve noticed its all the same flock that’s turning up so I think they are all together 24/7 from what I can see… They talk to each other from a distance and help each other
Looks like there’s a couple waiting down on the fence to get their turn!
They’re so cool…
Busier than Starbucks!
I guess they like veggies too, here’s what I just found with a quick search.
Cockatoos need a balanced diet of equal shares of seeds and vegetables with a small quantity of fruits, nuts, proteins, cooked rice, bean mixture and table food , such as cheese, corn, cereal, pasta, meat etc. Some vets may recommend adding pellets as well or exclusively.
That’s a big variety. I didn’t realize they ate so many different table foods. I would have never guessed rice or pasta was an option. I learn something new on this forum everyday. April needs to whip up some mac and cheese for that big family.
“April’s Bird Cafe”! Reservations suggested, lol🐦
