Yep I did some research myself and found that out too… I gave them multi grain bread, not the best but not the worst. I’m going to buy almonds for them tomorrow and see how they go… I tried to give them grapes, they didnt want them…I’ll experiment with a few different things this week and see what they like
I know right I’ve never experienced this contact or connection with birds before. This is very random this has happened and dosnt happened often apparently… For some reason I have a connection with these feathered Friend’s and as with baby, they came to me without me encouraging them, one day about two weeks ago , one turned up on my window cill, then 6 showed up I have 62 apartments in my block, but they choose my window to visit
Yay! I’m so excited for you to get this thread going again.
I think you should add that to the title.
Done and done …
Awww what a happy, feel good thread April! I it!
The Cockatoo Crew sounds like some kind of band.
Well they do all sing a hefty scream
Do they squawk the whole time they’re there? They really are beautiful, I can’t imagine seeing them just flying around here!
They don’t squawk when there with me much, just when they play amongst them self, a couple of them are cheeky and try to take the bread off another , then they squawk a big f&%k you stop it!!! Squawk lol … My neighbours are going to love me
Two cutie patootees had breakfast together alone at the bread cafe they were most definitely life partners and so adorable together… They arrived at 9am
They’re adorable!! This is my favorite thread again. Thank you for reviving it with your new family flock.
My goal for this week is to find a snack they enjoy that’s not bread. I’m going with almonds first up because I seen a girl on tictok hand feed almonds to a flock that visits her. They seem to love them. So il give them a whirl… And I’m attempting to teach them to drink water from a bowl… I taught baby, so this shouldn’t take too long
You were amazing teaching baby so I have no doubt these guys will catch on real quick.
Wow, those guys are pretty dexterous with their feet there. Glad to see the birdie thread is up and running again? Can you tell them apart?
I can only tell a few apart by there personality at the moment. And a few of them are older and have a bit of dirt and earth on them so I can tell that way. And the few that are super affectionate and playful with me, I can tell which is which… Other than that its a daily guessing game
The ones where they stick their head in your window crack me up. It’s like they’re peeking in to see if anyone is home.
There my favorite ones too lol there like “helloooooo can I come in please?? Helloooo what’s for lunch today? helooooo” lmao
