Yep in Australia they are a wild animal here, as well as pets. You can have them as pets. But you can’t catch them from the wild and keep them , thats illegal, and cruel because its would be taken from its family, and in the wild they have families they stay with 24/7.

So the ones that come to visit me are a few different families of cockatoos.

Your not the first person to say that about them being in the wild, alot of people in america have no idea there wild animals coz in America y’all only have them as pets in homes…

At this point I think I can call these guys my pets but they just come and go as they please :joy:

There like teenagers, they only come home to eat and and drink water then they go off playing all day and afternoon :joy:

Interesting
Lol

My brother had one for a pet

They are the sweetest birds I’ve ever been in contact with

The meanest birds I’ve ever had contact with is a parrot

My gramma on my moms side had a ugly parrot named jasper

If the thing could fly
It would have been a attack parrot

Jasper the mean ugly parrot
I will never forget that lil guy

My gramma also had a bunch of small nice colorful beautiful birds
I’d get one of those kind if I ever got one

I also learnt something about pigeons today… They get a bad rap around the world but the little family that lives outside my window are really sweet and are just trying to live there life and survive everyday, you know?

Today I watched them in the rain and I’ve learnt that they like to shower/bathe in the rain!

This little dude laid there with its wings raised right up above to let the rain bathe him under its wings. The rest of its family was laying in the grass all doing the same thing. I’ve never seen this before. They were all having a spa day lol!! They looked so happy! :joy::heart:

I’m starting to wonder how long it’ll take before you befriend a wild emu  :joy:

Lol I don’t think anyone can befriend an emu, they are angry vicious beasts lol :joy: they are so dangerous lol.

I didn’t think anyone could befriend a crow, a flock of cockatoos and Baby. You are statistically more likely to befriend an emu than 99.999999999% of the world’s population
