Baby birdies thread ❤ And the cockatoo crew ❤

The cutest thing is happening… This little dude has been sitting In the tree outside my window in the sun for at least an hour. He is own its own. Just chilling in the breeze :joy:

Normally after they eat they just take off , but I think I might have a little fan that wants to hang around :joy:

So I went straight across the road to the lake as soon as they left because they always fly there to start foraging … I go and sit on the grass with them and with me being closer to there level , they are easier to train…

So this morning I had a level up with one of there training skills!

Whilst it was sitting on my knee whilst I was sitting crossed legged on the grass, I started training it to “shake foot” so to shake my hand with its foot. It didn’t take long to train it to do both left and right foot… It was a moment of awe!

I’ve trained them to sit on my arms now for a long period of time. One of them just hung out on my raised closed fist for like half an hour

They are much more confident with there balance now doing step ups!

He gets jealous when I feed the others up above and proceeds to scoop all the seed a out of the bucket and onto the floor in a jelous rage…

Ive never used my vacum cleaner more in my life

Look at all the bloody seeds on my carpet

Went to visit Mr crow today… He is very protective of me.

Two cute little ducks waddled up to me to get feed, and Mr crow was such a bully! He would not let the ducks near me. He kept running at them to scare them away from feeding from me :joy:

Today was an interesting day with the crew…

It was GAIL FORCE almost tornado like winds. Really strong and consistant. Normally when its windy they don’t turn up coz that can’t land and tend to just get blown off the window :joy:

But today there was a new member of the crew! He was super scared, his feathers stuck tight to his body from fear. But despite the crazy winds he kept trying to fly back and forth from the tree and land.

But then when he landed because the winds were so insane , they blew the seeds right off away :joy:

My heart was breaking for this poor little dude, all he wanted to do was eat some sunflower seeds but between his fear and the elements he just kept epically failing :joy:

This is him.

I feel like he deserves a name with his yellow Mohawk blowing away like that so photogenically :joy:

What should we name him??

See how frozen with fear he looks? And his feathers aren’t floofy like all the others? That s sign of fear or danger etc…

Let’s see if I can get him out of his shell over time if he keeps coming back
