And we are back to normal finally. The spooks are gone :trophy: we arrived at 4pm and stayed for an hour and a half… This afternoons activities included some birdie yoga :joy: and discovering that we LOVE Mac and chesse :joy: it always is curious about what I’m eating so I share if its able to swallow it…surprisingly is loved Mac n cheese! I only let it have two or three tiny bits because its probably not good for its digestive system. But a tiny bit won’t hurt it… It was very happy with its afternoon treat

Finally took the time to scroll through this thread. Totally adorable! These two blackbirds at my balcony made me think of it. Inviting them or a baby in seems like a bad idea for me BC of Luna…

OMG, I seriously love this story! You should video your experience and share it with the Dodo…I follow them on IG and they feature stories like this all the time! It’s super cool!

What types of words has the little one learned…did you name the little one? I forget if I asked that! I can only imagine the joy that little love provides when they visit. I have been caring for birds for two years now…meaning feeding the wild local birds seed. It really ramped up during Covid…my neighbor who passed away has a yard where the birds would nest. Someone bought it and pulled the trees down to build last month though (I cried when that happened), so now they only have bushes and shrubs to live in…so I’m trying to help them through the winter.

I am going to plant my own shrubs and a small manageable Hawthorn tree so they have place to live. I feel so bad for them.

Oh, I adore Crows…that’s how my love for birds started. Brody started visiting in 2019…and stayed around until September. He left and I never thought I’d see him again, but then in May of 2020 there he was calling me on my porch! Of course I was over moon to see him, and this time he brought a friend, any the end of July there were two little ones with them! I named his wife Penelope, and the two babies Peanut and Brody Jr lol.

They are super smart, and honestly I have adopted the Crow as my spirit animal. Just amazing creatures they are!

I hope you are having an amazing day! Look forward to hearing from you and following your adventures!!! :grinning::heart::ocean::sun_with_face:

Glad your enoying :heart::+1: I sometimes see dodo clips of different animals pop up and they cute ! Good idea. So far I’ve only taken photos and two short videos coz my phone has no memory left. I was thinking of upgrading and getting a new phone this week, I’ve had this same phone for years now and its ready for burial lol :joy: that is so beautiful that Brody brought its mate to you. I often wonder about when do birds migrate and do they come back etc. Our weather here in my city isn’t too dramatic. We have cold winters, it gets to about 1 degrees celcius at its worst. But Im not sure if myna’s stay or migrate? I will do some research. Oh and I named it “baby” coz it was responding to it coz initially I was saying “hi baby” “who’s my baby” when ever it arrived. Also I’ve now trained it, I have a short whistle that I make , and it fly’s right up to my window when it hears it. This is a new development. It begun responding to my whistle yesterday. I see it on the fence just outside my window, I whistle, it turns its head , sees me and fly’s right up and in  its so adorable watching it fly, coz its still a baby , its wings are sting wonky and not graceful and flowly and smooth lol :joy: it just flaps them like its life depends on it , its so adorable.

Morning arrival 7.01am : baby arrived with cobweb all over its face this morning :joy: it couldn’t get it off. I tried to help it take it off but it still snaps at me if I go near its head. We got it off finally after 15 mins of it wiping its beak on anything hard :joy: we stayed for 28 mins then a big fire truck flew by outside and the sirens were so loud it got spooked and flew out. Its still adjusting to loud noises. If my TV is on , I have to have it on low coz if a random loud noise comes through my surround sound system its like an earth quake in here the bass is so strong. So il slowly turn the TV up a litte bit each day so it adjusts to the sound :+1:

I just figured out why it got spooked the other day. I just noticed that the pole that holds up the kitchen counter is mirrored. And Its a blurry mirror. Not clear like my make up mirror and with out realising it I had put it food and water bowl right in front if it and it had seen its blurry reflection moving and it got spooked :joy: I moved its water n food bowl :+1:

We have discovered the couch for the first time :grimacing: I was hoping we wouldn’t want to play on the couch coz its fabric and pooping will be difficult to clean. But we love the couch ! Its obsessed with finding things hiding under or behind things. And it loves and thing that resembles a string apparently it had a good tug o war game with my neck pillow. Also learnt how to change the channel on the TV remote :joy:

I dont think we will make a habit of couch visits. The poop is just not ideal situation there :joy:

I just had an idea. I have this little unused area in the kitchen where a mini wine fridge use to be. Its empty now and I havnt found a new use for it yet so I just had an idea after I put babys water n food bowl there and it went in and ate there comfortably, I will make that area into a little birdie play house. I will hang a little sleep nook in there are see if it likes it.
