Usually with older consoles, they tend to get updated for about 2 years after a new one is released. I’m not very informed about the xbox X, since well, I dont game anymore, but with previous consoles, everyone started moving to the newer consoles quite quickly. Mostly because on previous console’s you for example couldnt play with someone on a ps3 if you had a ps4, or with someone on an xbox 360 if you had an xbox one. And tha fact that some gaming developers stopped updating their games on older consoles also caused a huge shift in gamers upgrading to the new generation consoles. If you want to play on your own, an xbox one would be sufficient, but if you want to play with friends, I’d buy an xbox x

I appreciate your answer Jan, considering your background my friend.
It’s not for me it’s for the girls, (honest! )
I’ve read a little bit and my understanding is that the X plays all previous games so thats good.
I would imagine that they would like to play with their mates so that’s kinda like a decider right there.
Again, I appreciate your reply Jan. Thanks.
I recommend asking the girls what brand their friends play if you’re choosing between Xbox or PlayStation. If their friends play PlayStation, an Xbox would indeed not be the best option as they would not be able to play with their friends then, but it’s also the other way around
Yeah. That thought had occurred to me Jan. But then we are so far along now I would imagine their friend have every console under the sun.
We only have a Wii
When I still played, people were either very pro-Xbox or very pro-ps, so I think there’s a considerable chance they don’t. And if you buy both consoles, I don’t think that that’s a very responsible choice, because the gaming would be near unlimited
