DAY-3

Better than yesterday, not as good as Tomorrow! Just back from B-Day party. People’s were asking like x3 times what do you drink? On the last one they took my glass and wanted to fill it with some vine, but I rejected. I told them I feel good without it.

I told them a story about the rats and alcohol and how after trying it they never go back to poison. Young people on the other hand did not like the taste of poison, but they go back later because their friends and society says it is fun, it is joy! The biggest problem is how society look at this drug, and that it is a dirty buisiness. This is why it is so hard to get out of this traps. I put some shame on their faces.

Everyone knows it is true. But we keep lying to ourselves. I was lying 8 years to myself. Before that i did not even knew I was doing something bad. Now I know. And I don’t want to make fool of myself anymore. Sobriety is who we are in the first place. Dizziness and intoxication is not who we are and it works against us.

So true!! It’s about getting back to a time before the alcohol. I hear so often things like “alchohol made me feel normal” or “alcohol made me feel like a better version of myself” but it’s all distortion and untrue. We have all of the good within us already, we don’t need alcohol in order to let that shine. It’s about getting back to our authentic selves!

Just checking in day 94. Ready for bed at 5pm.
Getting a puppy in early sobriety was a stupid fucking idea. That’s all.

I disagree, she was awesome when she was cute and small. Now she’s cute and big with all of the shitty habits we allowed because they weren’t a problem with a 10lb puppy. :joy: I’m a terrible puppy momma  Now I have to unteach all of these bad habits I allowed.

Oh friend. I have been there and one that. It is NO FUN!!! What’s cute at 10lbs is definitely not cute and fun at 50+lbs! Good luck though.

740 days thanks to AA and the people in the rooms. Go to meetings, get a sponsor, work the steps, help another drunk, pray and most importantly don’t drink or drug a day at a time. Anyone can have a life beyond their wildest dreams if they are willing to put in the work and follow a few simple suggestions.
