That looks yummy. But I’d probably eat the whole bag in one sitting. I’ll get my relationship with food under control once I get the alcohol under control.

Hey Brook, how are you doing tonight?

Amazing book, first I’ve read on the topic. I recommend to everyone.

D411. A bit of a struggle today caused by boredom. Boredom that cannot be quieted with thoughts of any activity. Kinda like, maybe I can do this or that, then nah, that ain’t gonna do it. So I’m fighting the thoughts of life was much more entertaining when I was drinking. I’m not gonna drink, although I’m at a loss for what to do for the next few hours to silence my alcoholic mind…

I guess it’s too early to go to bed?
I understand that feeling all too well, it’s like an emptiness that can’t be filled.

You got this Kevin! Your hard work and determination WILL pay off! Whenever you can, take some moments to just be present, focus on your breathing, relax and notice when your mind wanders into past or future and bring it back to the now. This will help you relax  Drink lots of water and sleep when you can - a good sleep and hydration are key to feeling good and coping with stress and ‘busyness’. Its hard sometime, when we work so much. When we commit ourselves to doing what it takes and putting in the grind - that hard work and effort that, even though its tough - always pays off! Sending all the positive vibes I have your way. How good is it to know that, yes, historically you would drink, but now, NOW YOU DON"T and WON’T because you value yourself and your sense of self-worth too much! That is truly the most AWESOME thing!!

It’s never to early to go to bed. You just have to call it a nap.

Thanks for the words @NewEngland and @anon57816338. Yeah I’ll be popping in and out through the evening to grab some strength and ideas. Rest assured I am looking forward to sleep. Have to be up early tomorrow anyway so an early bed time may be just what the Dr. ordered.
@anon86726034, hang tight bro, we all got your back…

@Mno had some good advice. There’s lots of thoughts around the forum about it.

This :point_up_2: right here. That rock, that space. Bigger than us, yeah?

Without having ever said what I believed, my first sponsor told me, “See that rock in the park across the street? Can you move it? It’s something bigger than you. If you can really accept that about anything, you’re already there.”
