* Checking in daily to help maintain focus

  1. Day 2 music festival sober. It was easier than yesterday, but I still thought “maybe I can just have one because I made it two months.” I let it pass, and stayed strong. Highlights for the day were Billie Eilish…the crowd was crazy and every teenage girl there was obsessed. Some older men to. Lol. I also saw The Cure. They were good, still got it. We saw them at the same festival I think 5 years ago. Anyway, that is a blur and my friend said tonight she didn’t remember seeing them that time. Which she see them did bc we were all together. I’ll def remember tonight. They closed with Boys Don’t Cry, and I love that song. Looking forward to the last day tomorrow. Hope it goes by quickly! My feet hurt and I’m sunburned despite sunscreen. The lineup is kind of weak in my eyes. Looking forward to Lizzo!

Day 384 :footprints:
A whole day of rain ahead and I’m playing my drum beats outside in it  We’re playing during a running competition.
So it’s going to be cold and wet and it’s very bad weather for my drum too.
But I’m happy to have 2 drum’s so taking my old one with me today.
Looking forward to sitting in my bath tired and satisfied at the end of this day…
Have a great sober sunday all of you, it’s better then a drinking one :facepunch:

@Quitter02 thank you. Sorry for answering late. After every relapse I am shocked emotionally and I tend to withdraw from relate with others. Part of my healing is based in speaking and being honest with others recognizing what I done. Today is 4 day sober and I go to a meeting after the Church. My addicted part doesn’t want at all but I am forcing him.

@SoberWalker and the rain its terrible, I wanted to go outside for my morning workout, but gone skip that I think. What about buying a poncho for your drum… I mean like a big one whitch you can use on the bike…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::wink:
Hope the weather will clear soon!

Have a nice sober sunday to all of you! :blue_heart::muscle:t3::+1:t3:

17 days into recovery & full sobriety.

I’m adding items to coping toolbox.

Small comforts are so helpful now.

A good cup of coffee is delightful.

Sweet treats are more enjoyable.

Feeling all the feelings is different, but I’m muddling through w/support.

First weekend was hard, but this second weekend is going easier.

I started my social media again, but am focused on only recovery-focused resources, learning type communities, fandoms, & artists.

Beginning to get some self-respect back after treating myself like crap.

I’m taking tiny steps to form self-care habits for my health & enjoyment.

  1. Coffee. @SoberWalker and @ShadowFax are sending the rain over here as it’s just beginning now. Where is my rain gear? Lots of stuff to do before I fly on Tuesday morning. One thing I won’t be doing is stupid drinking. Or any other mind altering addictive substance. Life is much better sober and clean despite all the troubles in my life I can see so clearly now. And feeling the urge to deal with them too :sunglasses: Have a great clean and sober Sunday all! Love from Amsterdam.
