Day 601. It’s my birthday. For those of you that were here this time last year, you may remember that I was emotionally melting down, but stayed sober. Today has been pleasant and peaceful. The progress feels significant and satisfying.

12 days sober.
Did some shopping with my sister before lunch, so now I’ve got a palm tree in my bedroom. My very first.

When I was about to pick up the 10 year old from school his classmates came running and said that he was hurt. A chair had fallen down on him and he was bleeding from the eyebrow.
We ended up in the hospital and they taped it together. He is lightly autistic and I was so happy to be able to be there and care for him, sober.

It’s not much of a palm tree yet, it’s actually a Dracena Palm. I did spot a real Canarian Palm tree but I couldn’t fit it. So I have to wait until we are done building our porch.
