Oh man, Pdeps; that really sounds awful for you and your little one. I would be mindful of how often this happens and how it’s hurting your little girl… she gets so upset she can’t talk.
I’m older so I say now that I wouldn’t let that negativity in the home; if he can’t act like an adult then he needs to take a walk or something.
Love you.
Omg a real face!! Sorta, lol
Yikes! That sounds really tough. I have friends with OCD but had to look up OCPD - that’s a new one for me and it looks like an enormous challenge to manage for the individual with the diagnosis and the people around them. I wish you the best and am glad you feel safe to share here and with your new source of support. Hopefully those folks who have been through it or are in it can give you some insight that will help. And congrats on your sober days - that’s wonderful!
Hey Rosa, those posts last night were frustrating to me too. I started responding but decided not to fuel the fire. There’s some people on this forum that have no compassion for the suffering. They get all high and mighty. Thankfully our wonderful mods took care of it. It happens from time to time but for the most part, this community has the best group of people with great advice. I’m glad you put it in the past and having a better day. Enjoy your gorgeous day.
Thanks, Lisa. I couldn’t just not do anything but I am glad I stopped responding when I did and just flagged the posts. I’m grateful for the mods, for sure. Enjoy your day, too!
@Lisa07 and @RosaCanDo and @Bootz…thank you! We definitely don’t look at all the threads and posts, so we rely on all forum members to help keep the forum a place for support and community. We appreciate the feedback and assistance!
Day 699. One more day before I join the 700 club and two more days til I hit 23 months. I don’t really have much to say except…wow! Lol. Very grateful! I hope everyone is well!
Lol right???
Baby steps, lol… I only post pics if I’m feeling good; otherwise my daily look is just blah, lol
@anon79808082 @RosaCanDo Thanks for the response. I saw a really good quote the other day that said…
“Heal yourself, so your children dont have to heal from you.” We definitely have a lot of healing to do. My daughter is my fiances biggest fan, so its really a hard situation to be in.
@Fargesia_murielae My sister is a psychologist with her own private practice and after spending the week with us she sent me all this information on OCPD and after I read it, it was him to a T. He has been in virtual therapy now for a month now, it has been helping immensely but I am not sure if the therapist has caught on to the OCPD yet. I hope you are saying there is hope for us! I know I could probably use some therapy too. Thanks for your response.
Yeah I’m still getting comfortable here as far as posting pics. I’m sure I’ll come around soon lol.
Ugh, that’s a really tough one. It’s great you’re doing what you can to understand his OCPD, but remember it’s not a free ticket to we walked on and treated badly. He needs to put in the work as well. Sending love and strength your way!!
Beautiful numbers
Great work Brookie. Those are some great numbers. Enjoy them. Your so worth it.
So sorry to read of your struggles. Praying for God’s peace in your situation. And that you continue to know picking up will not make anything better. IMO taking care of yourself is what’s really important.
Beautiful number for a beautiful lady.
Congratulations lil sis
