They’re actually a Collie mix. Mum is shown here. The dad is a black Collie, or mix I think.
The first photo I had earlier definitely makes them look husky-type though
Oh how sweet; I would give anything to be there!
Day 148 clean and sober today. Late check in for me lol I was up really late last night watching spooky shows on TV. I LOVE the ghost investigator shows but last night I had to leave a light on because I was scared I hope everyone has a great Saturday, love you guys!!!
Checking in Day #71. Gonna go find some really spicy ginger ale with which to celebrate tonight.
“Oh man… that pic gives me the aching-ovaries-maternal-instinct-i-have-to-take-it-home feeling!”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
@RosaCanDo I must have somehow missed your 60 day post yesterday, I’m sorry! Congratulations!! You’ve put in so much hard work. Proud of you
1492 days, not drinking and the day I joined this app
Checking in, day 2. It was a nice day, I could work, be with the kids, having pizza day, worked out. I try to postpone my problems, live in the present and give myself some time.
Checking in day 100. Congratulations to everyone checking in.

Checking in - Day 19. Caught myself romanticizing about drinking while driving home from work this morning. Realized what I was doing then shifted my focus to all the negatives that would bring… lack of energy, anxiety, shame, nausea, eating bad, etc… cunning, baffling, powerful… the mind still tries to trick me. It was a good reminder that I always need to stay on my toes and get to a meeting. Here’s to 24 more hours sober
You can’t change your name on your own. Send a private message to @Moderators with your new name and they’ll help you.
Robin isn’t always here so don’t expect it to get done right away. I’d send it to the moderators too.
Goodnight everyone
Hi, congrats on your days, well done to you x
Amazing! Triple digits. That’s huge!
I hope you’re feeling pretty proud.
Day 131.
Still working out the kinks with this whole sober winter thing. Didn’t get actual cravings today, but just have more unpacking to do – the habits and associations of years. Example:
M to self, trudging through the snow: ah, there’s nothing better than a sunny walk on a snowy trail, the cold air on my face…
The dog girl, who can read M’s thoughts, trailing beside M: completely agree… deer tracks to sniff, sticks of deadfall to carry, huge crows to give a bark or two at… this is the best.
Millicent, out of nowhere: yeah, it’s going to be so nice to get back to your warm home and uncork something - some prosecco even! Why not?
M: oh jeez, you again? Prosecco after a snow hike is 2019, Millicent. This is 2020.
The dog girl: beat it, Millicent, before I do with you what I did with the vegan dog treats (a gift).
Bear with me. But for so many years I associated my nightly wine with a more interesting, fun, you name it – but better – version of me. To undo that, I’ve had to re-characterize the cravings. Meet Millicent. She’s humourless, has an anemic pallor, thin lips that can’t smile, mousy hair pulled into a too-tight bun. She’s frumpily clothed in drab colours, and frankly, she’s boring company. She tries to sound fun, but she’s just reciting her lines. She delivers cravings for a living, and she’s gotta find a new gig now…
It’s ok – I’m sure she’s found good company on another supportive forum with all of your cravings that were never indulged.
Here’s to us. Let’s do another day tomorrow.
Hey Millicent
Take that!!
Way to go on 131 days.
