Being sober doesn’t fix all your problems in life it just allows you to deal with them clear minded. There is always work to be done and room for improvement. Nothing ever comes easy, you gotta put in the work.
[/quote]. Absolutely LOVE this & admire your determination in doing so.
@SoberWalker Huge congratulations on obtaining your diploma. This accomplishment is amazing
@Lisa07. WHOOP WHOOP. 15 months is absolutely amazing and I’m so proud of you. Your support here means so much to me. You have been here for me since my 1st share and I can’t put into words how much your presence is appreciated.

186 days and I’m home!! Coming home yesterday felt like such a huge relief. I don’t know what lays ahead but am happy to say we’ll be taking the journey together. He has got a babysitter for today and we are going to the city to do the things planned for my six months sobriety celebration. I’m going to get showered and dolled up which could take some extra effort thanks to my sleepless nights.
Much love to you all :kissing_heart:

Thanks for the validation and encouragement. It really helps reaffirm what is in my head. More than ever, facing my fears and challenges rather than hiding and, yes, learning from past mistakes. It’s okay to learn the hard way as long as I learn!

My first daily check in… I’m on day 5. Days 1,2,3 were pretty hard with feeling lousy but were also incredibly satisfying. Yesterday was pretty great, I’m feeling so inspired, cannot wait to see what today brings!! This forum is awesome…thank you to everyone.

Thank you Brian!! After a 10 day out patient detox, I attended IOP for 2 months followed by AA. Between this forum and AA, the daily support has been my saving grace. If I don’t keep sobriety a priority, l will slip back into old behaviors in a heart beat. I’m hoping it eventually becomes second nature and I won’t have to work so hard at it.

Well congratulations on 5 days Troy, that’s a big accomplishment. Keep digging in and fighting, it’s worth it, you’re worth it.

Thank you very much once again. I know that if you keep doing what has brought you this FAR!!! it will get easier and it starts to feel natural or at least that’s been my experience.

Day 25 nicotine, day 337 drugs and day 483 alcohol
My timers are all over the place but by far the one I am most proud of is the 337.
I’m off and running in a minute here. Saturday’s are generally a strong day for me. I’m going to make pizza at the treatment center and attend the in house N.A. Wish me luck though since you never really know what you’re walking into at these places.
God bless you all. :v:&

Hey chopped liver this is amazing to see funny how some people get emotionally pulled into other peoples journey and yours is one of them to me, real proud of you Lisa from the bottom of my heart. :hugs:

I’m wishing you success today Brian, you’re a strong guy who knows what he’s doing (now you’re sober and clean :sunglasses:). Take care of business and have a good one.

This is it. Analyzing and pontificating about what’s going on, only helps me to a point. Too much of that just becomes paralyzing or a waste of time.

While I have been taking action in my life, it’s all been around the daily responsibilities of life. Nothing has been focused on self care or recovery. I’ve been neglecting all the practices that help nourish me emotionally and spiritually.

The further away I get from them, and the more they fall out of my routine, the harder it is to get back to them for some reason.

I’ll make some time today for a run, some meditation, make a healthy dinner, and get to a meeting. I so often over complicate things, when all I really need to do is take some simple actions.

Thank you.
