woke up naturally at 5am on the dot. Woke up to frezzing pouring rain. Its going to rain all day here. I love it. The cold rain is more reminiscent of Christmas than the boiling hot summers days we normally get at this time so rain makes me happy. I’ll stay inside today and do house chores and watch all the Christmas movies on Disney plus I’m yet to see!! The count down is on friends. T minus 3 More sleeps till santa arrives and See’s there is no beer left out for him and his rain deer’s just la Croix now I hope everyone is enjoying the lead up to Christmas day . I love the holidays

Day 312~ Checking in. I’ve had a nice day today. I took off work today and tomorrow to get some last minute Christmas things done. I treated my self to a manicure and met my husband for lunch on his break. I’m finding it hard to really express myself lately. I feel like I have some pent up resentment that I just need to get out but I don’t want it to come out the wrong way so I’m really thinking before I speak. My mom would always say if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it all but honestly I now know that’s not the best advice. I can’t just sweep things under the rug and pretend they don’t exist. It’s not healthy to keep shit bottled up. I’m continuing to work on my boundaries and “Trimming the fat” of people that just don’t serve a positive purpose and contribute to maintaining good mental health in my life. It is extremely hard and truly hurts my heart but I recognize it’s best for me and my peace.

Happy holidays my TS friends. I hope you all are safe and keep fighting. The best gift you can give to yourself and to your loved ones is sobriety.

Quick checkin for day 5. It’s been a busy morning. I slept straight to my alarm, which was good. Steady morning at work. Trying to get some house stuff straightened out over lunch. It’s super windy out so I didn’t go for a walk as I had intended to. I’ll be getting off in about 3 hours. I’ve got a mild headache for some reason. Feeling okay today. Not great, not awful. Least there was no hangover the morning. Always a plus. Staying strong sober friends!

Did some cleaning around the house today, mopping, vacuum, sanitized high touch areas. Did my regular things too such as prayers and reading, ate a little. Some healthy communication with family and friends. Got another Christmas card which made my day. From my cousin on the other side of the country that sort of thing seems to be trending this year.
That’s it so far for today.
