I’m late to your party I’m working on getting better as are you :blush: Huge congratulations on the two years and putting your family back together. Good for you.

Hey @Sanuk, my husband was an active alcoholic for the first year of my sobriety. He came home with a buzz every single night. At times he was funny but mostly just an annoying obnoxious idiot. I would walk on eggshells until he went to bed. What worked for me was to just try and ignore him. I avoided engaging in any conversations and I would reply with a simple yes or no to questions. Thankfully it’s not everyday for you. I vented here very often and it helped me a lot.

Day 133: I’m so behind here. It will take me some time to catch up, if I even can! But I’m grateful to still be here and sober. Haven’t felt my best but am hanging in there. Been thinking about my TS folks, sending you my love. :heartpulse:

Have a cup of coffee and a little something sweet, it works wonders for me. Totally removes any cravings somehow.

Great sober days and if you could just see yourself to lending me £10.000 for a new car you won’t even miss it. :wink:

congrats on your sober days. Those end of work rewards are a tricky hurdle to get over but stick with it bc it’s all about breaking old habits and routines, it’ll seem boring at first but as time goes by you start to look forward to the rest or if the world wasn’t on lockdown maybe having a day out and a little treat with all the money you’ll save. :+1:

216 days. Thinking I may have caught a bit of a chest cold while sledding yesterday. So far it’s been an easy day with lots of it spent under a blanket. My trip to my friend’s will be postponed until next week or so as her Mom is coming to visit her this week. I’m ok with that and it gives me something to look forward to. Heading back under my blanket and hopefully feeling better soon.

If you absolutely cannot avoid the situations with triggers. At least remember to breathe.

Just today. You’re not going to drink. No other day matters. Just today.

@Singtone Are u from the uk? Cravings often sneak in when a bit tired or under the weather. Remember they are just feelings.

@Fury Hang on in there.

@Tomek Not sure if u will see this, but take care, hopefully see u soon.

@ProofOfLife Congratulations on 200 days!

@MrsOdh Tough decision, but u have to do what is best for your family. I hope she can get the help she needs.

Day 161

Have decided a big issue for me is I am a lonely introvert. I need time alone to decompress, but very easily feel lonely and rejected. I really covet the busy busy extrovert lifestyle, even tho I know I am incapable of doing it.
