Checking in day 11, no alcohol.
Was up at 8:30 this morning, which is WILD for me on a weekend day lol. I didnāt even know Saturday started before 11amā¦Took a shower, cleaned the kitchen, and at around 10am took the kiddos out for Wawa breakfast and a little hour long walk on this nature trail near our house. They were so confused when I woke up and started making plans with them lol. They were so happy, tho. It made me happy and a bit ashamed that Iāve neglected weekend mornings with them for so long.
Anyways, itās gorgeous out here in Jersey today. Sunny and 64Ā° and itās so crazy that Iām up and out to enjoy it. Gonna try to be outside as much as possible for the rest of the day.

Day 7. Stopped again on 3/21/21. 3 21 has a nice countdown feel to it, so, Iāll make it work. Last night I watched āThe sound of metalā.
I took away this from it. Recovering addict faced with a life changing event that could have put him in a downward spiral. In the end he learned to accept his new situation as that was the only way to go forward. So many people are crushed by the harsh reality of life yet they continue to fight to stay on the right track. We can all do the same.
Also I have been watching on prime, āBritish Bouncersā, which highlights the very ugly side of drinking. Not that any of us need any reminders but itās a good outside looking in view of drunks and their behavior. Possible Triggers.
Anyway thought Iād share if anybody was looking for something to watchā¦

284 days. Spent yesterday tidying the house with the girls and then having an activity afternoon. It was a great day all around. Although the one roommate is still a putz Iām slowly getting better at not responding. It becomes difficult at times as he takes everything so personally and believes all conversation is about him. My oldest stepdaughter has started requesting āprivate talksā with me to vent about the same roommate. She is frustrated by his interference and wants me basically to tell him to back off. I have told her to come see me or her Dad right when things are said by the roommate so we can address it. Somehow the Mama Bear combines with my badass bitch and defending my girl cubs is priority. Wouldnāt have ever thought I would be mothering children again but Iām actually loving it. Keeping my focus family oriented has been a key to a great week. Headed to the shower now and off for a roadtrip with my girlfriend to see a healer. Wish I was participating in the healing process but maybe next time. Today I will just enjoy the company and time away from home.

Iāve been waking up consistently early at 5:30am since the clocks changed a week ago, Iām loving it. Iāve been spending the first 2 hours reading the fiction series I was reading a month or so back, happy to have picked that back up, finished book 3 of 7 today. Then I tackled all of my other storage boxes and Iām letting so much stuff go, it feels amazing. Tomorrow I will start on the stuff thatās on the floor of my wardrobe and also the shelf at the top, itās built in so itās pretty spacious, hopefully Iāll condense it all as I definitely wonāt have this space in a free standing wardrobe when I buy one for the new flat.
Getting stuff done makes me feel good

Got a little too excited catching this today (hubby & daughter included). 5 is my daughterās favorite number so thatās probably why.
