Day 435.
Had a good day today. Got a haircut this morning, shot a little guitar video for my Instagram account and helped my brother out with some yard work.
So I kept myself busy. Thank god no suicidal thoughts today… and I’m super glad and grateful to be sober!

Day 308. Finishing up packing for my trip. Leaving early tomorrow morning. Lots of triggers tomorrow – the airport, a warm-weather destination, family drama, meeting up with old friends (socially distanced), etc. But I’m taking Antabuse before I leave for the airport, as an extra precaution. I’ll check-in tomorrow night, nice and sober.

Checking in day 76! Woke up from a nap, and it was wonderful! Sun is shining and my chickens are laying again after a hard winter. So dreaming of warm days and flowers.

Day 5 without alcohol.
Yesterday was really tough. I actually didn’t check in here cuz I was SURE I was going to buy something and was just a giant ball of anxiety.
But I didn’t. Somehow I turned myself into a zombie and just stuck my ass to the couch and watched movies until my wife got home at 11pm. Then went to bed.
I know tonight’s going to be just as hard. But if I make it, it’ll be my first sober weekend in over a year, and then in over 8 years.
Another thing keeping me going is I’ve scheduled breakfast tomorrow (holy shit I’m going to breakfast on a Sunday morning at 10PM!! lol) with some close friends to tell them about my first week clean. I know they’ll be super supportive and helpful and will be happy for me. I met them over a decade ago and we’ve been through a lot together. We came up drinking, partying, and playing music, but about 4 or 5 years ago they cut back and I just kept going. About 3 weeks ago, my one friend even actually told my wife she was worried about me.
Anyways, all that to say, it’s gonna be tough tonight, the anxiety is already here, but I have so much to look forward to tomorrow that I know I’ll be good.
Now I just need to figure out which horror movies I’m gonna watch tonight lol.

Just a quick second check in. I’m off to the tattoo shop to get some ink done. This is the 3 of swords which represents heartbreak in the Tarot. I thought it fitting as it’s one for my son Randy, one for my wife Donna and one for Corey who are all together in Heaven now. I think it’s going to be bad ass, getting it on the top of my left hand

I hit a year and half yesterday and I didn’t even realize it until my dear friend @Conor689908 reminded me today. Strange how I was looking forward to it all last week and then it slips right by me. Hopefully, that won’t happen at 2 years. lol
