  1. Today I spoke with the manager at the Rehab I went to twice. I have to say it was very cool to be calling her as a business call to help another addict instead of being the patient. I was so excited to talk to her. After we discussed business we had a few minutes to catch up and I was able to tell her where I am with my recovery. It was a proud moment that I don’t give myself enough credit for. Recovery can be hard especially in the beginning but we’re all fighting the same battle to stay sober and we should be damn proud for each day that we have. I am so grateful! Have a blessed night TS fam :purple_heart:

601 Days. I have a work meeting in a court room tomorrow. It’s the biggest area for everyone to social distance properly and hearings are still being done on zoom. It’s hard to believe clients actually want us to attend meetings in person again. I’m so used to the virtual world and now having to wear full business attire all day isn’t comfortable. I’m complaining about something so trivial but this is what covid has reduced me to. I’ll find the positive in this some how. Maybe, life is getting back to normal? I’m very grateful to be employed though and I’ll walk in there with a smile, no puffiness or hangover.

I owe a few thank you’s from yesterday. My apologies for the late reply. Thank you very much @Mno, @CATMANCAM, @Conor689908 and @Hopeful777!! I’m very grateful to have you all apart of my journey.

Day 275
In between getting home from work and taking the kids to their karate class. Thursday thru Friday is always pretty non-stop. Try and use my time as well as I can, such as grading papers during the kids’ class. No time for drinking!

don’t feel obligated to share its not mandatory. But yeah listen and listen good to the people with 5, 10, 20 years of sobriety it’s not by coincidence these guys and gals are still clean. Well done I’m really proud that your keeping an open mind and trying new approaches, proves to me your going to succeed and help others on the way :+1:

  1. Feeling a bit stuck. I guess it’s that part of the journey where I’m going a few steps back instead of forward. No therapy today as it’s a Holiday here. Don’t feel like it either although I probably could do with it. Next week. Also I haven’t been in proper contact with my bestie lately. Should give her a call but still bloody afraid for her rejection. And hating that feeling and hating how weak that makes me feel.
Anyway. Lots to be grateful for. The sun is shining. I don’t have to work today. My material needs are all well met. My cat is purring. I’m healthy. And I’m sober and clean and I don’t think using would make something in my life better. Have as good a day as you all can folks. Love from Amsterdam where this scene in the park yesterday somehow made me think of Sophia @MrsOdh.

Day 17.
2nd check in
7.21pm.
9 degrees. Freezing and pouring rain.

So tonight I had my first ever zoom OTP group meeting. The topic was family education. So a bunch of people had others joining in on the meeting. I didnt have anyone with me. That’s a long way off for me.

The meeting was hard to follow. I keep zoning out and the information went straight over my head. It was my first ever actual zoom meeting. I know that everyone gets onboard with them on here for different AA and NA groups etc. I hadn’t ever given them a go. After my experience just now, I found in hard to follow. Maybe it will be better once I do a few more. Practice makes perfect right. It was a bit difficult to see the other people on there with there family and talk about things. That’s a subject I’m only scraping the surface with so its a sensitive topic for me.

My home WiFi is not working for some reason so my smart TV isnt connected to the net which means no Netflix or YouTube tonight lol. First world problems :joy: that meeting drained me so I’m going to have an early night and hit the hay within the hour.

I’m definetly in peak pink cloud time atm because I feel very authentically satisfied and happy with myself and my days from sunrise to sunset. Honeymoon phase is very enjoyable
