Baby disappeared oneday a month or so ago. Not sure where it went I miss it lots
Do u have any pets? U seem like u have a mothering part to ur personality.
I agree. I don’t drive, but being in the house and it not being a big deal if kids’s friends, neighbours, etc, drop in. So ordinary, but so astounding.
No pets now. I did have two dogs for 12 years , they were like my kids. Lost them a few yrs back. I’m yet to get a new dog. When I move to a new bigger home , I will. I’m In a studio apartment now so its not big enough for a dog, so I’m in the process of planning a relocation at some point in the near future
Could u get an apartment friendly pet? My friend has a house rabbit, it is very friendly, and they can even be trained to use a litter box.
I also feel like I’m still in my teens and I’ll be turning 50 in August. I’ve tried to grow up but just can’t seem to be able to so I celebrate how I feel. It’s actually a pretty awesome feeling, especially clean and sober.
Blessings and sobriety!
I can have pets here, I just know I’ll be moving in the near future So I dont want to have the pet before I move because it will be an interstate move most likely I have the birds out my window to keep me company in the mean time
I’m good 4months and some change very proud of my life and where it is headed. Today I was invited to go out to dinner with my family. Afterwards I got to spend quality time with my nephew and dominate at some laser tag (even though I feel to old to play… I just got to keep striving keep me in check #blessed
Good morning everyone. Day 17 for me and feeling good
Day 306.
Better. Thank you - Fleur, Donna, Rob - and all, for the hugs and well-wishes. Honestly? This place is such a huge source of strength for me, and like mental companionship when the going gets tough. Just a couple examples:
When I think of how @anon27760155 described missing her stepdad, I know I can face my dear dad’s death anniversary with sweet sober pure tears. And for all @Rockstar24777’s loss, he is still so committed to sobriety – and I lean on that a lot, big bro, when faced with all the stuff with mom.
We have a really good thing going here, friends. Let’s keep it going, yeah? Another day at least.
G’night all. Happy sober dreams.
Milestones milestones! Let’s face it – those first days can be the toughest, so big huge congrats to…
@Jasmin - yay 4 days!
And 15 days @Dv713!
By my math, @Soundlab, you’re on to Day 7? Nice.
@Wakikki good job on 3 days!
And @Ukaddict, 12 days is not nothing! Well done.
I’m missing some - I’m sure. But any day that ends sober is worthy of !
Happy Birthday!
Take it from me, who still doodles with felts in the margins, plays with her food, jumps in the puddles and talks back to the crows: 50, combined with sobriety, is like the new 11!
Wishing you simply the very best year ahead.
Congrats on your 17 days of recovery!
Awww love you lil sis, thank you
So, friends, I made so many typos on my check in earlier today I just decided to delete it. It’s been a super day, lots of napping in a hammock and a husband who recognized I needed a break so he let me sleep. I’m a lucky gal. I have gotten some tan on my skin so I feel more myself. These Iowa winters are tough and I know what it means to feel pale. I enjoy these first days of warmth and sunshine where my brown comes back, and am grateful it doesn’t take much. We went to our friends’ house for a BBQ tonight and it was such a treat! We are all fully vaccinated and it was the social event of the year, if you ask me! Just nice to have good conversation and an almost 5 year old who is my best buddy yell my name as we drove up to their house. Just an all around awesome Saturday.
That is a great description and one I can very much relate to! Although if we challenge this narrative we might remind ourselves that no one can see the future…
At least there is some comfort to be found in today. Let’s try and enjoy it while it lasts, rather than getting too caught up in the fact our imagination isn’t telling us the stories we want to hear?
Day 263
My son’s 12th birthday today! We made pumpkin pie as requested (not sure why, it is not a dish much eaten in England or Japan, but he wanted it) and he had his cousins over to play Minecraft. He loves Lamborghini and I got a T-shirt for a ninth of the rrp on Mercari and he seems pretty chuffed.
