I’m sorry you had a shit day Paul. I’m glad you’re ranting here about it. You won’t feel ashamed later because of a rant. Maybe. Just maybe, tomorrow won’t be so bad. And you’re a bad ass sober bloke now with 9 awesome months under your belt. You got the tools. Use them. And breathe. Deep breathe. Count to ten a lot. Check back in when you can. And of course call your sponsor if you got one.

Congrats on 9mo+!! I remember all too well about making sure there was enough time in the evening to get wasted. What a shame…not only to myself…but to my loved ones as well. Glad that’s not the case anymore!

Thank you for this share . This gives me much hope and encouragement. I haven’t yet been to full on social/family event but I’ve barely started and just the little exposure I’ve had I could see the good by “ thank God I’m not making a fool of myself” to “man I miss those times”
But nothing beats a sober night sleep and a clear head in the morning

Day 93…binged watched a Netflix series in one evening.defo should not be up this late…not in a great headspace,too much coffee,too many cigarettes,too much Netflix…too much chocolate…probs due on…
…if I was drinking, these would be the worst days of drinking every month…so I’m grateful I’m sober buti still gotta sort it out.

Sober living is rough sometimes i try to stay positive and joy but someone always in a bad mood and have no common courtesy specially wen they have authority in house feel like their demanding instead of asking when were all supposed to be equal right?

Go easy on yourself…
What helped me when I was faced with new situations after I was comfy in my sobriety was I pulled in the reins again. Started doing the things that got me through those first few tough weeks. It helps… ask your wife to be more supportive of your not drinking instead of helping you cave too??? Just a thought.

Checking in with 24 days continuous sobriety. Made it back home sunburned and exhausted, but not a single drop of alcohol the whole crazy weekend. Meditation and TS were my lifelines. Hope everyone is rocking the day wherever they are.
