Day 426
Had an ‘on demand’ teaching day. Which in the past would be tempting to drink. Was a little slack, but slack and sober is ok for me. Did go for run and do laundry. And, at home for hours would also be tempting to binge eat, but had basically a bowl of mint tea instead.
Day 20 for me checking in
Congrats!!! 1 year is huge
I’m so sorry to hear about your son Carolyn - that is heartbreaking to see and I can only imagine how worried you must have been. I said a prayer this morning for your son to find his way.
Take care & never give up. You’re a good person (and so is he) and you deserve safe, sober lives where you can be your full selves.
On day 220. Feeling good about that. Stress in my life (NOT alone there). Still dealing with a very sick cat. As of noon yesterday he seems to have turned a corner. We will see today at the vet. I’ve never mentioned this here because I will go on a tirade complete with judgment and name calling. Not a good thing. But, I moved in with SO last November. His adult daughter got evicted and has been living here since April. Lazy and inconsiderate and if I didn’t know better trying to cause issues between her Dad and I. Causing more stress. HUGE vet bills. Stress. BUT stress while sober beats drunken stress any day. Happy Monday all!
Prayers for your son. What a frightening situation. I hope this is his wake up call.
Hey all, checking in on day 484. Have a great one!
Jeez…I don’t know if I can even count that high.
Day 3: went to my first AA meeting this morning and trying to figure out a new life rhythm.
That sounds like a triumph to me! Nicely done, Flo.
Checking in with 1005 days sober on my 29th birthday!! Working then enjoying the evening with family and Monday Night Football!
Congratulations very well done!
They’ll help you with that new life rhythm. Blessings on your house as you begin your journey.
