Checking in daily to maintain focus #34

Made it to one week. This is where I threw it away last time. This time around I refuse. Off to gym.

Day 426
Had an ‘on demand’ teaching day. Which in the past would be tempting to drink. Was a little slack, but slack and sober is ok for me. Did go for run and do laundry. And, at home for hours would also be tempting to binge eat, but had basically a bowl of mint tea instead.

  1. Coffee. Never had a runnier nose than yesterday. Seems to be a little bit better now. Late shift coming up. Will see. At least I’m sober and clean. So much better than the alternative. Have a good week all, or at least as good as you all can. Making it clean and sober is a good start to that.
The honey locusts are losing their leaves. Not so nice but it’s all in the ebb and flow of things. Love.

I’m so sorry to hear about your son Carolyn - that is heartbreaking to see and I can only imagine how worried you must have been. I said a prayer this morning for your son to find his way.

Take care & never give up. You’re a good person (and so is he) and you deserve safe, sober lives where you can be your full selves. :innocent:

On day 220. Feeling good about that. Stress in my life (NOT alone there). Still dealing with a very sick cat. As of noon yesterday he seems to have turned a corner. We will see today at the vet. I’ve never mentioned this here because I will go on a tirade complete with judgment and name calling. Not a good thing. But, I moved in with SO last November. His adult daughter got evicted and has been living here since April. Lazy and inconsiderate and if I didn’t know better trying to cause issues between her Dad and I. Causing more stress. HUGE vet bills. Stress. BUT stress while sober beats drunken stress any day. Happy Monday all!
