Checking in day 20!! It feels amazing to be sitting here drinking sparkling water and being present for my family instead of nursing a sick head. I wish everyone here a happy, healthy, peaceful and sober Christmas. Much love to all. Together we can do this

Merry Christmas Eve Day from SC, USA. I love that our community is international and realize that not everyone is in my time zone and not everyone celebrates Christmas. But Merry Christmas to those who do. I am up relatively early with “the zoo”. Initially I was aggravated to have to get up early to take care of the FIVE animals (2022 will see a reduction to 3). Because I am the only one who does. Other household members are still snoozing comfortably in their beds. But, resentment begone. I have some food prep today and will get on with that joyously. Not happy that we are facing a ricotta cheese shortage. I may have to use cottage cheese for my Christmas lasagne . . . gross! But even that will not take away from the joy I feel for a sober holiday season. Today is day 294!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful sober day!

You know what I love…

Waking up at 830…instead of 530 everyday cause I LOVE ME SOME VACATION DAYS!!!

DAY 37… SMILE ON MY FACE. Bout to sit in this hot tub before my children wake up. Trying to finish my audio book ‘fallout’…happy my golden state warriors won last night… and most importantly…

I’m sober and free.

Thankful for this forum.

Checking in at day 790 for my 3rd sober Christmas Eve. The past 2 have truly been wonderful, the first one i was early in my sobriety and it was tough. So for those of you going through your first sober Christmas and struggling I would say that I can garuntee the next one will be wonderful in comparison if you stay the course.

Merry Christmas/ happy holidays to all of you.

Your choosing to get back in the saddle and start again. Never give up, ever. You had 18 days, that’s awesome. And you’re choosing to not use again. That’s a good choice. You’re not missing out on a thing if you never use again. No need to mope about it.

And if the desire to use creeps upon you again, just share that with us and we’ll remind you that you’re making the right choice to stay sober. Never crave alone.

Enjoy your holiday sober.
