Itās an early Saturday morning and Iām awake and ready to have another day of freedom!
Iām so excited to be enjoying this project. It is not easy, but each day that I make it past the winer voice makes me feel stronger and more confident in my decision.
Some recent reading reminded me that alcohol gets too much credit for providing the āgood timeā that we seek at the end of a workday. And last night was the time I kept that idea in front of me. I came home and sat with a glass of tonic and enjoyed some conversation with my husband, some of our fav music videos on the tv and the snuggles of my pets. The hot shower that I take to unwind helped me and I found myself as relaxed and content as any other evening. Maybe I was even more content because I was not in conflict with myself about how to manage the winer voice all along the evening.
I plan to keep those thoughts in front of me over the next few weeks, especially when we go on a vacation soon. Iām looking forward to vacation without it!

@Dazercat You have no idea what a great journey you are starting as a grandpa. I have 3 grands and they are the light and joy in my world. You are going to fall ass over teakettle in love with that baby. 
Day 61 for me. I had the grands over last night for over our weekly slumber party so itās a cook the big breakfast morning chaos. I LOVE my sober life.

Day 15. Good Morning TS Family. Happy Sober Saturday. Caught another virtual meeting last night in Chicago. Love the rawness. Visit with the boys today. Going decorate tree and bake. Going to be present and of course sober. They deserve a sober Mom everyday. God willing they are back permanently by Christmas break. They are staying with their Dad temporarily. Iāll be sad when there gone so I will hop on a meeting. 7/90 today. Good day all. Keep strong.

Checking in Day 13. So thankful for my supportive kids. My daughter is picking me up to go check out a huge estate sale where they are giving everything away. Then we plan to check out an antique and picked store one of my childhood friends just took over in a near by small town. Ive stuck pretty close to home for these 13days and am happy to get out and spend the day in a safe place with my girl.
