Thank you for your kind words. I always have something to do these days. Smoking and drinking went hand in hand for me. It was either all or nothing. There was no off button. Everyday was new year eve. I still occasionally go out to see my old pub friends and each time I do I’m thankful that I dont need to drink anymore. Most of my time is spent on the beach or up in the hills with the dogs. I find walking just makes everything better. I dont have clutter in my head like I used to. I hope you put your motivation to use and find something you really like doing. We can do anything we want and if you try something and it’s not for you then try something else. Good luck. :+1:

  1. Good afternoon! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve been on here. Life has been so crazy busy! Trying to prepare Christmas for my nieces, nephew and of course my own kids and it’s been a little overwhelming to say the least! Last Sunday as I was preparing the kiddos to go to my parents for the day (Sunday dinner), one of the twinkies was on the floor right next to the couch and I lifted her from behind (I was sitting on the couch) as I pulled her up I realized her leg was stuck under the couch…I ended up breaking her leg :cry::cry: I do know it was an accident but my heart was breaking as she cried in pain. Another shitty thing was I called her Mom to tell her and I was feeling just awful she entrusted me with her children and I did this. Well she didn’t care one bit and it broke my heart even more. My 6 yr old niece asked if it was ok not to invite her Mom to Christmas because she doesn’t want her to ruin it. It just breaks my heart. So much going on! Praying for the best. I wanted to check in real quick why they were napping. I’m off to clean the house and get ready to decorate our Christmas tree! :purple_heart: (I needed to vent )

Celebrating day 47.

So today the electrician and his crew are at my house all day to fix some major issues with our wiring. Tearing up walls and ceilings, it’s going to be an expensive job. I’ll be okay. I won’t use today.

Happy sober Saturday everyone!

252 days sober, today was a bit of a minefield in my head. I had to finish a last assignment for uni and I just couldn’t be arsed so was looking for ways to not bother basically. I’m so tired after a day at work and I’m having an argument in my head about whether I should just not bother with the 25 % of the mark, and the classic escape route: drink… The latter is not an option. I have exams and a revision timetable to follow next week and if I picked up I would probably not stop all the way thru Christmas, fuck up the exams in January, and then be in a self pity pit for weeks trying to sober up.
Anyway, got home, did 4 out if the 10 questions I need to complete and eaten 1/4 of a box of chocolates.
That’s me today. Whatever I need to do to NOT pick up I will do… Even if mostly I have still been eating complete crap.:yellow_heart::pray::yellow_heart::pray::yellow_heart::pray::yellow_heart::pray::yellow_heart::pray:
