Checking in daily to maintain focus #36

Day 22.Hey all hope everyone is well. Nice day went to get nails done with my daughter my neighbor and her daughter.
Them some more shopping. Just about done so it feels good. Excited for boys coming home next weekend. Going to have a welcome home get together.

Will be happy when they are home. Anxious and triggered knowing there with my ex who is a daily active user and constantly has different women in and out. Smh.

God please realse me from the obsession of abusive and unhealthy men. The pain of this make me want to use. But I wont. Will attend a meeting and relax

God please I pray for self love and self respect. Amen. Good evening TS family.:pray:t5::purple_heart:

Day 488
My evening at friend’s house turned into quite the girls night. Got in at two in the morning. People got rather ‘excited and candid’. The designated driver and I were the only non-drinkers, but I didn’t feel too left out. Weird to feel a bit headachey and groggy this morning, from lack of sleep, and my husband isn’t pissed at me.

Wow, lady! That’s a big night! No way I could make it until 2. Sounds like a great group, and glad you had fun!

One beautiful rose for one beautiful lady.
Congratulations on your 9 months.
You are kicking ass my friend.
As long as we aren’t drinking today, and probably not drinking tomorrow. Then we’re badasses.

Checking in 75 days AF
I’ve been doing lots of fun Christmas-y things.
Staying sober and feeling happy. I know that this happiness will ebb and flow, and that’s ok. But I’m enjoying the holidays without alcohol. Going to a big tree lighting tomorrow. I’ll take pictures :christmas_tree::heart::green_heart:
Here’s my neighbors cute Christmas Camper and of course a Christmas peacock. Love you all

Busy day today…
Worked on this christening cake that I had to do for tomorrow. Took up a good chunk of my day.
Here it is:

Now I am baking some peanut butter chocolate brownies for a snack tonight while getting my stuff ready for work tomorrow.
Can’t wait to get a good rest!
Hugs to all!

Made treats like crazy today with my friend, which we will plate and give out tomorrow. She made the rumballs at home and they are still in their container. So it was a good day.

@anon3130607 That is a great post. I’m so happy for you that you were strong and didn’t give in to temptation. Look at those days! You’re amazing.
@Mno 2.5 years (and 2 days  ). That’s so great. Good luck on your Krav Maga test!
@Daisy49 Welcome back. Great job on your 7 datys. You can’t really make it unless you’re ready to want it, and I’m very happy for you that you’re at that point. I know you can do this.
@icebear 6 months! Amazing! Great job!
@Deep Good job on your 7 days.
@Complicatedmama This time of year is always kind of crazy and takes a lot of attention. That’s so sad about her leg! I’m so sorry that happened
@Butterflymoonwoman What a beautiful cake!

Rewards of being clean and sober…

Today I got an award at work! It was a pre award for the running of a bigger award…

If I was still using, this wouldnt of happened.

So today, I am so grateful for my sobriety

VW meet got cancelled! Organiser has Covid. I have however signed up for the next one. So instead I am off for a early river swim with the swimming ladies, just dreading how cold the water will be

Thank you @Leveller I love the outdoors, so planning next year to get more into hiking :slightly_smiling_face:

  1. Coffee. Going to do a trial lesson Krav Maga this morning. Might be good to broaden my horizon a bit, physically, socially, mentally. Too bad it’s raining. Getting out my rain gear to get there. Already good for my discipline this morning class. Without it I’d hung around and do nothing. Looking forward to it. Sober and clean or it wouldn’t happen. Have as good a day as you all can friends. Making it clean and sober is a massive help in doing that. Love from Amsterdam. Took a little urban hike yesterday, hence the sunny pic.

@icebear 6 months Drew! Huge congrats!
@LeeHawk 9 months! Enormous congrats dear lady. Strength your way.
@Bassanova Glad to see you Bart. One day at a time. As it is for all of us. Positive vibes and tohughts for you.
@Newlife5 Excellent work on 20 days Cindy! Congrats!
@Complicatedmama Thanks for dropping in and please vent away all you want Patty! Sorry for the accident and the shitty reaction from her mother. You keep doing you, you are (doing) incredible! Love.
@Dee134 Well done on 8 months sober Dee! And not forgetting the 48 days freedom from weed too! Big congrats.
And of course big thanks for the congrats my friends. My personal count down to quadruple digits is on. Want to have four digits to my name. And I will. One day at a time.

Checking in, 401 days no alcohol, 151 days no cigarettes. Had a rough night. Last evening I had a fight with best friend, actually she almost became my ex-friend. I’m much more confrontational than I used to be, and I couldn’t help but tell her how much she hurt me recently with her behaviour. I could barely sleep afterwards and when I could, I had a dream where I was drinking. All in all I’m glad that I stood up for myself and that I wasn’t terrified of confrontation. I used to rather give up myself than risking to lose her, but now I know that losing her wouldn’t/won’t destroy me, losing myself would.
