Good job on making it to day 41. I’ve had those days where fantasy was constantly on my mind. Those days are tough. But tomorrow is a new day; a chance to enjoy sobriety while maintaining better custody of the eyes and mind; and to do it sober.

Idk how to deal with this burnt out feeling. I get it practically every night. I lose any patience I have, I’m irritable, I get headaches every night, I get absolutely no quiet time and no me time until 10pm when I can finally get in the shower and zone out, tune out any noise around me, and drown everything out in my mind. My worry to be honest… is if I don’t find a way to change this pattern and learn how to cope in healthy ways, this stress and feeling overwhelmed, and anger and irritability will be a cause of a relapse. I’m not trying to predict anything. And I literally take it 1 moment at a time during times like this. But I NEED to get this under control cuz one of these days I’m going to say fuck it and use bcuz I’ll have no more fight in me to keep dealing with this. I am so burnt out right now I’m bawling. Cuz I feel like I have no escape. All I do everynight, is after I take care of everything I need to, I can get into the shower for about 10pm. And once I’m there it’s like a huge sigh of relief. I’m exhausted and im tired. Bcuz I don’t use or drink anymore, my old old old bad habits are popping in as thots. Like wtf is going on Ugh. I need suggestions on how to deal with this? Anything would help.

I highly recommend reading Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Control Alcohol if you haven’t done so. It can’t hurt. If you don’t want to the pay $10, one can read it for free on archive.org
Chronic relapsing can be a sign that the user is still assigning value to the drug. And as @Lorelai noted, alcohol doesn’t really have any value. It doesn’t make anything better. It only makes things worse.
Is there any way you can take just a few minutes during the evenings and just breathe, even in the bathroom? I use the insight timer app to do short breaks to just stop and breathe. I set a reminder on busy work days. I’m sorry you’re feeling such burn out

My words are off here lately and I feel I can’t find the right ones when offering support. But I’m always here, your doing amazing and are a fighter. Don’t give up before the miracle happens much love

I do have the insight timer. My hubby tells me I need to schedule breaks during the day bcuz I’m not taking care of myself and then it builds up and builds up and I boil over by evening. I will try this tmrw what u said. Just a quick something off of the insight timer. And setting a timer… I never knew u could do that! I will need to do this. Thank u so much!!

Chatted with hubby and watched some fish and just relaxed a bit. Im feeling better but I do need to address my stress and my feelings of being burnt out. I will need to spend some time tmrw looking at what I can do differently. I think scheduling breaks during the day with the Insight Timer will help.

Hey! Had a good weekend! Saturday was just a great day, it was kinda warmish, but still chilly, bright shining sunny day! Cleaned house as a family, aka, not just me. Lol
Made super delicious burgers on the grill, for lunch, then drove to the wildlife refuge nearby to look for animals! We saw 19 deer, tons of swan, geese, and other fowl. And some bald eagles.
Came home hung out and bebopped around the house, eventually made yakisoba/stir fry for dinner, Watched some television and went to bed.
Today my fiance went to race go karts so I hung with the kids and FINALLY PUT AWAY MY WINTER/CHRISTMAS DECOR. lmao. Yeah. Wtf. Cleaned the bathrooms and hung shelves.
Decorated for Easter, because I have no st patricks day decor.
Making steak, pasta, twice baked potatoes and asparagus for dinner.

Haha it’s SO funny u said that cuz that’s what I was singing when I was taking the pics n video. We have 2 dwarf frogs in the tank they are the cutest little things!!!

That’s really cool. Makes me want to invest in some fish. I’d need to do alot of research first tho, I know they are actually alot of work.
