Day 46 AF
Pretty good weekend. Got out on the push bike a couple times, had a visit from my eldest son and daughter in law, read quite a few chapters of "This Naked Mindā, it really is an eye/mind opener.

Had a lovely day with my son yesterday, it was a miserable day so watched a film 1917, amazing whole film was taken in one shot. Making happy, sober memories

Things are going great I have a night off then start day shifts Monday which will hopefully be better for routine, meetings and the gym. Going to hit an in person NA meeting tonight.

#Day 1251 
Ok, going to a big surprise party today. It involves a lot of drinking and me feeling awkward because I do not know a lot of people there.
But going anyway because I love the party animal who is in the centre of it 
Bought myself a new blouse to upgrate my selfconfidence.
Tomorrow Iāll be happy I survived it sober and I think I maybe liked it as well. But if it wasnāt for that special person I would have chicken out

ā¦1430. Working a Sunday. It isnt bad, slowā¦so I can get alot extra done. Re-working the schedule as one of my peopleās employment is coming to an end. He is a part time worker, works 3 days a week. He is upset that he is 27 and doesnt have a life. Itās not the 3 days that he works here that prevents that. He is an alcoholic and cannot see that he is drinking his life away.
He threw a pretty big tantrum yesterday in the store.
Just a reminder why I dont drink. Hopefully, one day, he has an epiphany and starts walking the sober path.

not gonna happen Iām afraid. So firstly a huge congrats to the new mods, secondly an even bigger congrats to all those reaching milestones and ultimately the biggest congrats to YOU for checking in daily and fighting the good fight. You changing your life helps me keep changing mine. 17 months today and I thank all of you

Had a very sobering AA meeting. My zoom āhome groupā is very small, so we get to have long shares and know each other quite well. Two people were obviously struggling, in different ways, tonight and it made me sad. I hear people say āthanks for the reminder of how serious the fight isā and always thought it sounded a bit glib. But I am genuinely grateful for the lesson that it is a tooth and nail fight.

Happy Sunday! I love waking up not shaking and being in a fog! Usually on a Sunday morning I would jump out of bed and have a beer for breakfast (and pay big time on Monday because I drank a case of beer by the time Sunday was over). Now I do my morning routine of prayer, reflection, and preparation for a great sober day.
Time for coffee and then the Zoom Sunday morning meeting.

Iāve never heard of a baby shower that included alcohol. IMO it would extremely rude to toast a pregnant woman and drink in front of her. Iām glad you chose to not expose yourself to that situation. Good for you protecting your sobriety.
