I’m still feeling great, thanks - although I’ve been a bit slack on the planks recently. Maybe your message will give me the push I need. Mrs Singtone still does them daily.
I, along with my wife and all four kids, got Covid a few weeks back and it knocked me sideways. I keep forgetting that I’m old. Just about back to normal now. Playing football tonight with some old boys…and my 12 year old son…for the first time ever in a semi competitive game. I hope I don’t run out of puff. It’d be a shame for him to see me like that in our first proper game together. I’m really excited about it, actually. He’s going to absolutely love it. It feels special. Like a little rite of passage.

I read ‘The unexpected joy of being sober’ this week, which likened the quest for sobriety to a computer game. Each time you try you learn more and more. Of course, when you ‘fail’ you go back to the beginning - but you don’t lose your knowledge of the game, your experience. Each time you try you get better and better, until you finally crack it.
I’ve never heard that analogy before. I think it fits perfectly.

this old guy still playing fifa 22 can run about all game without being out of breath still got my old touches on Ps4 at 70 lol , and playing my guitar and gardening keep me busy still living life to the full another cruise planed for sept Barcelona two nights then Sardinia and Corsica and a few ports in france and italy 12,993 for this old guy everyone is doing great keep up the good work

Exactly day by day. Don’t look too far ahead. And besides, I’ve already managed to be clean for 4 years. Then it was harder with a lot of craving. It gets easier for me after each relapse because I look back and learn. So I just go again for those 4 years and longer! thank you for your message and your trust that helps! hugs…

Good luck Menno, I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I’m sure it will be fine. Tell them how you are already helping people on this basis. And what you’ve done while you’ve been clean. This shows that you have both feet on the ground. You have the qualities in your possession to be able to do this work.

Love the proper fans who go all over. When I was younger my biggest dream was to get a Spurs season ticket, but then I had kids and life got in the way. Now I still go, but only occasionally. My daughter now plays though and that is amazing, you get all the highs of the game. Love it!
