That’s strange that you got ill  Never noticed anything myself. Not even when plant based.
But I take a B12 supplement since going Vegan because you get a lack of it if you don’t.

Hey all! Glad to see people still fighting the good fight. I disappeared for a bit with a gnarly relapse, but I have a year AF under my belt now. I’m gonna start hanging out here more often, because sobriety is way easier (and funner) with community.

Have a great day all! ODAAT!

I dis feel ill but in some ways I felt so much better too. I felt “cleaner” on the inside if that makes sense. But near the end i was feeling very ill… however back then, I was also restricting my calories and other things so being vegetarian was probably not the cause of my illness. I didn’t like legumes or other plant based sources of protein at the time. So I never ate those.

Didn’t get a chance to check in this morning. But day 65 it’s been good, off orientation so I can go do stuff on my own feels pretty cool, probably gonna get out and explore a little. So far I just went to the gym, got up to a one rep max of 315 for deadlifts. Probably could of got a little more but didn’t wanna push it to hard. Then dropped back down to 155 for 5 sets of ten reps. Going to hit a meeting at six much love everyone. I’m still struggling to find a sponsor, oh and I got a weekend pass so I’m going home this weekend to visit my girls and mom, I’ll cook them a nice dinner too

Day 775,

And I dodged COVID for 2.5 years, only to test positive for it.

Honestly very unexpected, Over the weekend I was a little more tired than normal, just figured it was poor sleep.

Tuesday I had a headache and didn’t think anything of it cause I get migraines on the regular. I went home and to bed and overnight like a snap of a finger the Rest of the symptoms came rushing in. Fever body aches chills. Sore throat cough, I didn’t leave my bed until an hour or so ago to come to the doc to confirm my test.

I’m sharing my experience cause I’m vaccinated and had no concerns about being exposed, and I got hit like a freight train in one strong swoop. And In less than 8 hours

Checking in on day 5
Today I finally managed to get out of work at my normal time, just to find out that I had a flat tire!:rofl::tired_face:
Called the towing truck, which took almost 90 minutes, but the guy actually fixed the tire. 20€ sent to his private mobile via Bizum, and I could continue my journey home! :joy: Nice way to make extra money in black, but he saved my day!
No drinking today, so it’s been a good day! :relaxed:

Happy day to all of you!

Well it is august and that means this teacher needs to get into the routines of the school year over the next few weeks.

I got up early 2 mornings this week and swam tons of laps in the pool before meeting and working with some other teachers. I have soooo much to do to get ready for this school year. I’m
Super pleased with my progress on the swimming this summer and I’m committed to continuing my progress. I get an awesome endorphin hit, I sleep well, and my nerves are calmer when I swim regularly. I love being in the water and using all my muscles!

I’ve done a ton of curriculum work this summer and it is being well received, so that is a plus!

Next week I’m attending a conference for 3 days out of town. 3 nights in a fancy hotel and away from home. In the past I definitely would have gotten a lot of drinking in an event like this. But this time I’m ready to keep this excellent sense of peace and purpose. It helps that I have my own room and will bring some
Fun stuff to do too.

I hope everyone is doing well today and sticking to their work on sobriety. I wish you all the best!

Ouch. I hope you come through it quickly and without long term problems.

Yes, many vaccinated people are getting this version and feeling pretty crappy. Let’s hope for more progress on this virus, like even better vaccines.

Get well!
