@Rob11 Amazing work going thru that. I can feel he anxiety that this present probably caused. But u handled it well! Love the name on the lamp lol made me laugh! It was like a sign or something for u! Way to go tho!
@katobaggels wow! Honestly I agree with u 100% on not giving ur s/o that comfort and attention she was looking for after her fling cut things off. U are a valuable person and someone that deserves not to be used in that way. That must not have been easy tho but Iām praising u for holding onto ur boundaries. Proud of u!

Morning Check in
Day 168
I am just loving the cool breeze right now this morning. The heat lately has been draining me and making me irritable lol. But Iām grateful for the relief in weather. I did a wicked upper body workout this morning. Determined to eat well and feel good about what I put into my body. Recovery wise things are good! I rarely get cravings anymore to use and when I do, they arenāt very strong. More like an annoying mosquito bite Hubby is home due to the holiday so heās already cleaning that massive fish tank. Iām folding laundry and our boy is happy playing. Life is good! Like I fucking love life! Normally I wouldnāt curse on here but I feel like it needed some sort of emphasis . I will never go back to drugs. I never wanna lose this feeling of stability and genuine happiness and gratitude for what life is. Makes me emotional to think about that. I love myself today and I never thought Iād be able to say that and mean it.
Hope everyone has an addiction free day!
Love u guys!
Morning all checking in on day 346. Submitted my last paper for the class last night and start another today along with an overnight shift. Beautiful day so going to spend some time outside before I have to get ready for work! Hope everyone has a great day and stays safe and take care!
Thank you Dana!

Happy 3 months sober!

Congratulations to 9 months of sobriety!
What kind of fish tank does hubby have? I got a 90 gallon in my kitchen that my wife hated, until she found out that the water in there was great for her house plants. Now she loves it.

Today is 9 months without a drink or drug . Kinda crazy how fast time flies . Life is moving forward regardless I might as well keep staying sober and learning how to be a member of society. My out look has changed as far as my future . I start 3 online classes in a couple weeks that will complete my high school diploma . Algebra, geometry, and physical science . Most likely going to a trade school afterwards for HVAC or plumbing but one thing at a time. I keep telling myself that I canāt do this but I just keep doing the next step. I will approach these classes the same as my recoveryā¦ one day and step at a time ā¦ Iām so grateful for this community and has been a huge part in my recovery . When I first joined this app or community I only ever posted when I was withdrawing hoping somebody would give me some magical answer. I would only post when I was doing bad and I didnāt Interact or Participate. When I first joined this community I didnāt really plan on staying sober and kept having multiple relapses till something happened in the end of October and I finally had enough of killing myself. I have a long way to go but itās crazy to think how much has changed in only nine monthsā¦ I hope everybody is having a good Monday. Stay strong and God bless
Congrats on your 9 months.
Really?! I had no idea! Wr have 75 gallon tank. I donāt touch it except to look at the fish my hubby does the feeding and the cleaning and everything. What kind of fish do u have?
Checking in day 2.5. going for the long haul. Hope everytone ok.
Day 121
Four months, starting into 5 today and glad Iām here doing the things to keep myself from going back down that road. Are there moments Iām tempted? Yes, but itās just that. A passing thought, and I remember what it took to even get sober and how hard it was to start learning self-advocacy.
I donāt miss it anymore, and have had enough successful moments that wouldāve gone terribly prior to quitting, so it validates what Iām doing.
Thereās still always work to be done, and Iāll rise to the occasion.
Thanks Dana. Really appreciate the support
Thatās great! Nice work on getting to such a milestone number!
@Bluekoolaid congrats on 9 months! Way to go! Im excited for you to get your diploma and start a trade. It sounds like you have a plan to keep doing the next right thing. Way to go brother!!
Mostly African cichlids and some small catfish. I had a saltwater tank going but thatās way too expensive of a hobby to keep up with. Yeah something about the good bacteria in the water helps the plants grow like weeds. Steal a little bit when he aināt looking if you have any houseplants.
Iām so glad to see you checking in and doing well!! I was just thinking about you yesterday and that I hadnāt seen you on here in a little while but could not for the life of me remember your username Congrats on 4 months!
