Oh my gosh it’s almost Christmas!!! I don’t know what I’m going to do about a Christmas tree and my cat. She’s about 9 months now and super crazy.
I’ll have to tie the tree to the wall or something LOL.
Definitely no breakable ornaments!
Day 881 clean and sober. I was up at 2am again but was able to doze off a little bit here and there till now. It’s Saturday for me and not sure what I’m going to do today. Most likely something fun and entertaining for sure sprinkled with some mundane chore work Have an amazing day everyone, love you guys!
Checking in on day 45 AF
I still remember when you would post every 2 weeks Fridays how anxious your paycheck made you hoping or not your husband to buy some doc for both of you. Look how far you’ve come
Sending hugs Chey! Congrats on your 4months, that’s amazing
Omg!!! I totally forgot about that! Wow. Ur so right! Things have really changed thank u for the reminder my friend!
I’m sorry to hear you’re so stressed out. I hope this day went better!
I would recommend you to read “Living Sober” also, because it’s a practical book, which helps you in the beginning.
Will the maybe new job be less stressful?
Congratulations on 4 months girl!

Thank you Matti!
It’s better today, had a good sleep and was very glad that other girls here shared very open about their experiences in toxic relationships this morning… That helped a lot

Checking in day 67. Had therapy and then a meeting for my part time job. Off to work at my full time in a few. Busy day, but I’ve been enjoying that. I have a touch of a cold or something (maybe rsv?) but nothing too bad.
Hi @Butterflymoonwoman you are doing all you can to break the cycle for your son. The cycle of trauma and abuse that you endured, the effect of your fathers treatment of you and any other horrible thing that made you feel not good enough in the past. You are providing a loving, supportive safe home for your child. That is a wonderful mother right there. Dont doubt that my friend
Hi @KarenKW the first week is always really difficult because you are going through withdrawal physically from alcohol. You should start to feel better in the days to come and begin to sleep better which helps you cope better. Your headaches should begin to subside also. You have gotten through the physical side of getting sober and now you need to ensure you have the tools to combat the psychological aspect of becoming sober. I have a therapist, attend online AA meetings, post on TS ALOT lol and go to yoga. The trick is to fill the time you used to waste getting drunk with new things. Congratulations on an entire week AF. You should be so proud of yourself. I am so proud of you
Day 4. I am happy. In the last years I have read a lot about alcohol, maybe that’s why I don’t miss it - yet. I am prepared
