100%! This sounds like exactly the right thing. I just stopped in the middle of the bridge and jumped in the lake!

Do you have any old hobbies you’d like to pick up again or any new ones you want to try? I found things like Duolingo and Sudoku helped my wandering mind at first

Checking in sober

Had a lot of day 1,2,3, 1,0, 1,0,0,1 stuff going on. This sucks. I will report about numbers as soon as i am above 5 or so again!

Didn’t drink yesterday and will not drink today.

Had a swim as I had to deal with anxiety.
It’s always the same… Hopping in the water, feeling it and doing a few strokes…
And i am okay!
No matter what was before.
It works 99 of 100 times.
It’s my safe space! :blue_heart:

There was no one to battle with so I realy did a meditative swim.

Having very reflective thoughts…
Had a walk for lunch
One step at a time
One breath at a time

I cooked a pot of congee and will have a nap.
Work stuff is done, it’s just standby being available.
Tonight it’s group therapy.
Not that happy about it but I will go there. :cherry_blossom:

And congratulations to 3 years of soberness!:confetti_ball::tada::confetti_ball::tada::confetti_ball:

100 percent true! Thank you for posting. I can relate a lot to your post. I really would like to make a commitment to meditation. I do believe it would really really help me. I do it, but not consistently and I do find it difficult.
Thanks again for sharing

Thinking of you and reminding you you are not alone. I had a lot of those numbers before too. It really is just getting through that one day, that one moment. The days do eventually add up, but don’t think too far ahead. What else can you do other than jumping in the pool, that might interrupt a craving or help reset?? Maybe hop in the shower? 15 minutes- get in and reset. Also, do you have alcohol in the house?

Thank you!!!

Thank you! It has been a wild ride for sure. Everyone’s support on here is what made it possible. Especially in the first two weeks or so, I used this place as my crutch.

:high_brightness: Morning Check In :high_brightness:
Day 338 substance free
Day 5 binge free
Morning TS fam! Dont exactly feel rested today. Had an awful dream about jail that literally kept repeating itself over n over in my dream. Slightly disturbing. Thankfully now that im clean i dont have to worry about going to jail anymore.
Today will be a good day tho. Once my son gets on the bus for school i am going to work out. I have my covid refresher shot today (hopefully it doesnt effect me too badly), and will clean the bathroom and do laundry. Going to make sure i pray and meditate also and just enjoy my day.
Hope everyone has an addiction free day
