Checking in 318 days AF.
Was just having a moment where i was missing someone who i lovedā¦having a few tears and reflectingā¦in that moment i realised the pain i feel isnt the same pain i have felt in the past. Its not devastating, its not covered up with booze and all the other things. It actually feels kinda nice feeling the pain and the love with it, in its purity.

Ty, I can say the same for you. 
Today started to get hard after work driving home i just wanted to stop and have oneā¦ But i know one is to many and 25 is not enoughā¦It gets hard when you finally start feeing better you just want to celebrate your winā¦ I managed to get home safeā¦

Here are two phrases that have helped keep me clean.
The first is NEVER CRAVE ALONE This has helped me in so many instances over the last 57 months. When I had a thought of using, I told someone. I called a number I got from a meeting. I got my butt to a meeting. I posted in this forum and shared my struggles with another human being. By sharing my cravings with someone else it helped take the power away from them. I know that trying to deal with cravings myself almost caused me to commit suicide because of my addiction to opiates and seeing no way out.
The second is Another Day Won is better than Another Day One No matter how bad of a day Iām having or have had, as long as i donāt use today, Iāve Won. As long as you donāt use/drink/give in to your addiction today youāve Won. Any day you Win is always better that a day where you have to have another day One.

So today met that co-worker we had that ##@## thingy before and I gived him BIG smile, wide open arms and Hello My Friend!!! 
that of course was not fake as itās really how I feel and I donāt want negativity in the first place so why do I need to keep that. To my surprise he smiled and gave me the same back in return Really nice monday! Have a good Day everyone!!

Itās my weekend but I gotta hurry a bit. Seeing the Vermeer exhibit this morning. It sold out yesterday, half a million tickets sold. Hereās hoping theyāre not all coming today.

Iām sorry. Glad you posted. When that happens try pulling up memories of nice things that have happened in your life, things that have given you joyā¦ try to find some peace in those things, whether it be a childās laugh, a blue sky, a puppy or dogās or kitty or catās soft fur.

Had a one day weekend. Booked my may holiday in it so I can start counting down: 11 weeks to go. Mental state: mwah 
I need some sun in my head today.
Today? Work.

Still can reach it but not in an easy way. Bummer!

The Mauritshuis made a contest and everyone could sent in his ore her own version of the girl with the pearl earring. This one hit the news. But there are many lovely ones. You can see them on instagram as well.
