Morning check in :white_check_mark:

Relaxing in bed for a little bit reading seein reading around here, is part of my morning routine
Going to have a good dust and tidy around to go over everything then off to the gym at 1pm.
Still deciding on dinner and looking forward to the summer to be able to BBQ some healthier meals.

Have a great blessed day all :purple_heart:

Dryness as in sobriety was my take. Being sober isn’t everything, but without sobriety everything is nothing/we lose everything. I’ve heard different versions and it’s a good sentiment.

Congratulations on 1600 days dear @anon74766472 :hugs::birthday::notes::sunflower:
I apprechiate your sharings so much.

As I’m reading around here a quick check- in. I’m doing ok. Struggling with life a bit. Taking it step by step and feeling fine with this strategy. My current mantra I stole from somebody on TS and don’t remember whom :grimacing::grin:
No, we don’t do this anymore

It helps me through tough times when old patterns and unhealthy habits rise their heads.

Have as good a day as you all can friends. Sober and clean. Love.

My weekend’s here after a busy late shift last night. It’s been a short one as there’s renovation work going on outside and scaffold builders started building scaffolds at 7. OK. Need more coffee. I’m going to an art gallery later this morning to maybe a buy a piece of art from an old cycling mate of mine who’s a pretty successful artist. Excited about that. Will keep you posted. Otherwise I’m feeling like going back to bed once the ruckus outside subsides. Will nap later.

@anon74766472 Huge congrats friend! I used to drink in the bar to Die Toten Hosen - Kein Alkohol (Ist auch keine Lösung). They’re right that in itself Trockenheit isn’t a solution. But it does open the way for solutions for us types of folks though. Never again. Hugs.

@Bones_80 4 Months Ian! Big congrats friend!

Thanks so much for all the mutual support in this thread friends. It truly warms my heart. It’s why I’m here :people_hugging:

#Day 1650 :walking_woman:
Had a good day yesterday, did what I had on my to do list.
Today? A walk to the trift shop. Do not need anything but found it so relaxing and calming to wander around old stuff that brings back memories.

Picture from a walk a few days ago, spring is coming :seedling:
Have a good tuesday TS people! :woman_in_lotus_position:

I wanted my dream job as a photographer on the islands and reef in Northern Australia. I went to the boss every Monday asking if he had anything yet. Everytime id say ill be back. After several months he said yes, there is a job for you. Mind you i had no clothes, they were wet, so i wore wet clothes to the interview  but got the job.
I encourage you to not give up, theres a way to your dream job.

Hey Matt.
I’m sorry it’s tough. I second what you said that it will generate good results.

An infected wound needs to cleaned for it to heal. A turmoil of emotion could be a sign of that. Let nothing hinder you. We’re rooting for you from the sidelines.

Day 22,

I’m easing into things once again. Fourth day of the fast and it’s gotten a lot easier. Nothing much to report on my end. Reflecting on my feelings for alcohol, I went from craving and fearing it, to being disgusted by it, and now I’m indifferent to it. This is a good sign.

Have a good sober day

Sipping surprisingly good hotel coffee in bed with my doggos. I slept pretty well & feel rested for today’s drive. Some rain around but I should drive out of it & not pouring now so that’s a relief for walking the dogs. I’m feeling strong & content with being AF. Day 17 for me.

That would be an amazing job. I’ve only been as far North as the Sunshine Coast and that area was beautiful. Would love to see your photography

Day 24 AF
Feeling really emotional the past couple of days. My work bestie finished up on Tuesday and there were alot of tears shed. We work in a large Warehouse and Office but we were the only 2 people in my section. She didn’t want to take the new job despite a much higher pay grade because she said she would miss me too much and the fact that I made going to work fun for her. I convinced her that she needed to look after her best interests first and that would absolutely continue our great friendship despite no longer working together. We had so many laughs and made work a fun place to be. She is coming over to have dinner with my partner and I on Saturday night.
Peace and strength to you all.
