Day 489
Work was good! Got home and helped hubby so that he could get out the door to do a tattoo. Was a late night for him but hes on his way home now. We are going to order pizza and wings once he gets in. Evening was alright too. Just relaxed with my boy. I also got myself another cake order to do from a returning customer! Excited about this as cakes are my specialty and i love being able to make something beautiful from scratch. I dont work tmrw which i am excited about since its Fathers Day in Canada. Going to try and make it special for my husband. Other than that, nothing much else going on. Just enjoying the day! Hope everyone is having a great day/evening!

@Catmama23
I’m sorry you had a rough day! I’m glad you were able to step away and process your emotions and thoughts without giving in! And a book store sounds so calming! Is it a big chain bookstore or a mom n pop one? I could probably open a little book store if i set all of the books i have up :sweat_smile:

@Dolse71 wow! Congratulations on 1000 days!!! Amazing!

@Butterflymoonwoman i am glad you had a good day! You so deserve it! And I’m glad you are able to make more cake orders and do what you really love doing! This makes my heart smile :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@JazzyS much love to you too! From all of us here! You’re always so kind to each one of us, and I know you are appreciated here! I also am ā€œsober today, dealing with life on life’s terms with a clear and positive mindā€ :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’ll check in for myself in a sec. Don’t want to delete half of my post checking my timers :sweat_smile:

Edit:

@AyBee Wow! 1500 days! Congratulations! :tada::tada:

Days
251 substance free
168 self harm free
63 not restricting food
2.95 nicotine free

Today I got up early and went to work, then took the kids out and let each of them pick a destination. It turned out well. Then came home and let my little one go around the block with roller skates (first time on them outside!) And she made it 3/4 around before taking them off and walking :smiling_face: pretty proud of her. She didn’t fall !
Then my big girl and I walked around the block again just the two of us and went a little further so we could just chat. If was a nice moment.

I’m almost at the 3 day mark nicotine free. I felt myself getting frustrated a few times today, but just tried to work through it and let go of the negative… I’m trying to focus on positives :relieved:

Have as good a Sunday as you all can friends. Sober and clean. Love.

Saturday was very good. Pedalled around town, picked cherries, ate the first new potatoes of the summer, cooled off my feet in the pool that’s part of the monument I played in as a little kid. It used to be dedicated to the 19th century commander of the Dutch Army in the Dutch East Indies -current Indonesia- who fought some bloody ā€˜pacification campaigns’ there. His commemorative plaque has been removed.

@Dolse71 Yay Paul! Big congrats! It took you a while (1000 days to be exact) to get there but here your are. Excellent work friend.
@AyBee 1500 mate. Not bad hey. Let’s see what your countrymen can do today in celebration :cricket_bat_and_ball:

Day 911,

Woke up and had a call with my sponsor. Talked about my best friends visit yesterday evening. Which was though, tried to talk a bit on my recovery. But it proofs to me it’s hard to do with ā€œnormiesā€. Made his recipe without some white wine, even needed to explain again why that’s a no go for me…:exploding_head:…:face_with_peeking_eye:. He left early because he was tired, my fear is rejection currently, it hit that cord. My head is still full, but feel better. My son is visiting for Father’s Day. Gonna visit my parents and this evening catch a movie (Flash).

Greetz, Rob

1041 days no alcohol.
506 days no cocaine.
21 days no vape.
1 day no binge-eating.

Ugh. It started because I was craving real food, so after my first walk Friday, I bought the items to make a salad, ate it, all fine, but I think that giving in to the real food craving was the trigger for what happened later in the evening…So when I went to the shopping centre Friday, I also bought some healthy food items from the clearance section I saw on my way to the section where I was getting my dad some items from. I also bought some bananas, a bag of the more healthier crisps, and a bag of these crisp-type sweet and salted things. At 9pm I ate one main meal, then immediately afterwards, I physically felt my self-control slip away, and I ate the rest. Although individually the items were healthy, it was the loss of self-control I felt, the amount I ate, and the way that I ate it all, that ended in a reset. I didn’t binge yesterday, I don’t go in my local shops anymore, and I won’t need to go to the big shopping centre until mid-Agusut, when 2 family members have birthdays. So I think I’ll be okay again, will see this as a brief learning experience.

Yesterday, after the binge Friday night, I didn’t wake until 6:30am, to feed the cats and take my morning meds, then went back to sleep and didn’t wake until 3pm! No real surprise, it’s happened before. I took a rest day from my walks, and did a few meditations and relaxed to decompress from the week. I feel at peace now. Going to shower soon, ready to see my family later.

I hope you’re all having wonderful sober weekends. :blush:
